A Jew-hating Muslim preschool teacher in South Arlington, Texas, was fired Wednesday after she urged her social media followers to “kill some Jews” and tweeted: “How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough…HAHAHAHA.”
Nancy Salem taught preschoolers at the Children’s Courtyard in South Arlington. She is also an activist with Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Texas, Arlington, according to campus watchdog group Canary Mission. Salem also supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, or BDS, an anti-Israel movement that advocates severing global economic relations with the Jewish state. Breaking Israel News
In what should have been an all-out Israel hate-fest with possibly disastrous consequences for the Jewish state, 70 nations gathered in Paris for a “peace” conference on Sunday – but at the end of the day, the results were lackluster and failed to accomplish anything significant against Israel.
The conference in Paris, set forward one year ago by former French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, was expected to have dire repercussions for Israel. Fabius envisioned it as a way of forcing Israel to accept the two-state solution. His original proposal called for France and the other nations at the conference to recognize a Palestinian state inside Israel’s borders if an agreement was not signed between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The present incarnation of the conference was markedly toned down by the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault. At a conference in Paris last June setting the parameters for Sunday’s conference, the threat of recognizing a Palestinian state was removed. To continue reading, click here.

The nations of the world gathering in Paris on Sunday to determine the fate of the Holy Land. Israel was not among them, and watched wholly unimpressed as the international diplomats engaged in “pointless” dialogue.
Trying to sound a note of balance, French President Francois Hollande said that both Palestinian terrorism and Jewish settlements are holding up peace in the Middle East.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was dismissive.
“The conference that is convening today in Paris is a pointless conference,” he said at the start of Sunday’s cabinet meeting. “It was coordinated by the French and the Palestinians and aims to force conditions on Israel that conflict with our national interests.” Click here to continue reading.
LTRP Note: On January 15th 2017, over 70 countries will be meeting together in Paris, France where they will be discussing Israel and peace in the middle east. See article links below this article for more information.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Psalm 122:6)
By Bill Randles
An event is occurring today which portends to be one of the last preliminaries to the shattering events outlined in the book of Revelation, and the end of the world as we know it. The event is the opening of a new Embassy, the Palestinian Embassy in Vatican City. This will be the opening of the first Palestinian Embassy in the European Union.
The main characters in this scenario are Pope Francis and Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian State and the Vatican.
Mahmoud Abbas is the recognized president of the Palestinian State. The State has been designated by the U.N. and is to be located in the place in which the God of the Bible gave land to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—notably Judea and the Gaza strip.
Abbas, though celebrated as a world leader and a champion of the Palestinian cause, is actually a terrorist who planned the 1972 slaughter of the Israeli Olympic Team. He was quoted last year as inciting the infamous “knife Jihad,” by saying, “We welcome every drop of blood shed in Jerusalem…” Shortly afterward, he was warmly received at the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations, where he and Pope Francis raised the Palestinian flag together.
At that same meeting, and shortly after inciting the “knife Jihad,” Abbas was told by the Pope that he could be the key to peace in the Middle East and possibly win the “Angel of Peace” award.
The Vatican city, in which this Palestinian Embassy is to open, is across the Tiber river from the seven hills of Rome. The hill it is on is called Vatican, due to the Latin word for fortune telling, Vates. Evidently, the Vatican was the hill in Rome on which were located several streets of fortune tellers selling their gifts of prophecy, amulets, and charms. (Ironic, isn’t it?)
The Palace on the site of the Vatican in which Mahmoud Abbas and the Pope will meet to celebrate the Embassy, was built in the fourteenth century and financed by the sale of indulgences, a concept so crass, venal, and irreverent, it led directly to the Protestant Reformation and the split of Catholic Europe.
The very idea of the pre-sale of sins and iniquities to ignorant Peasants terrified in the first place of going to Hell or purgatory and willing to part with their meager income to receive “a certificate of indulgence” would be abominable to any decent person; yet there is a monument to it on display for all of the world to see when they tour the stunningly wealthy St Peter’s on the Vatican.
The Pope of the Roman Catholic Church is one of the KINGS of the Earth. He presides over the world’s one plus billion Roman Catholics from his residence on Vatican Hill (Hill of the fortune teller). He claims to be “the vicar of Christ”; therefore, he is by definition an anti-christ (i.e., pseudo-christ). He has decreed that atheists and homosexuals of good will can all go to Heaven and recently compared Jesus, Joseph, and Mary to Muslim refugees.
The Palestinian State is a “nation not desired” according to the prophet Zephaniah. In 2015, I wrote the following:
In view of Obama’s intent to press for a “Two State” solution at the U.N. , as petulant revenge on Benjamin Natanyahu for winning the recent Israeli elections, in spite of Obama’s fervent (U.S. tax payer funded) election interference, I decided to re-run an earlier article about the Divine view of the “Two State Solution.” There will never be an established and lasting Palestinian State; it is the “nation not desired” and is doomed to disappointment and failure.
In fact, there are no Palestinian people. The name “Palestine” was imposed on the land of Israel, as a humiliation by the Romans. It refers to the Philistines, a Phoenecian people who were subdued centuries earlier by King David and Solomon.
Those who designate themselves as Palestinians are Arabs. They swarmed into the Holy Land as hired labor in the late 1880s when Zionist settlers began buying tracts of land, draining swamps, and establishing agriculture. It wasn’t until the 1960s that these people adapted the designation as Palestinians (Remember the terror group, the PLO?) and began pressing for “liberation” and “return to their land.”
The “West Bank” of the Jordan River has been designated with Gaza as the new “Palestinian” state, and the pressure will begin to mount to force this on the Jewish people. The real name for the “West bank” is Judea and Samaria, the heart of biblical Israel.
In the definitive chapter of the Bible about the “end times” according to Jesus, the signs of the times are universal—floods, earthquakes, false prophets, wars, and rumors of war, until you come to verses 15-16. “Then let them which be in Judea . . . ”
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:15-21)
Something will happen over the conflict for Judea (the West Bank) that will lead the entire world into great tribulation such as the world has never seen before, nor will ever see again:
“Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’s anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.” (Zephaniah 2:1-5)
It seems that everyone on earth wants there to be a “two State” solution including Russia, the USA, the European Union, the Vatican, and the United Nations; all of the so-called kings and rulers of the earth demand some kind of division of the Holy Land and erection of a “Palestinian” State.
But He that sits in the Heavens doesn’t desire one, and HE counts more than all of the rest of them. Read Joel Three… Source

[In a] New York Times editorial, in which Jimmy Carter publicly called for President Obama to divide the land of Israel at the United Nations before Inauguration Day.
During his presidency, Carter went to great lengths to obtain peace between Egypt and Israel, and since that time, the former President has remained an ardent advocate in support of a Palestinian state. With the recent election of Donald Trump as Obama’s successor, Carter knows that his vision and hopes for the future of “a two-state solution” to finally bring lasting peace to the Middle East is lessening by the moment.
In an impassioned and urgent attempt to use the time left in Obama’s term to salvage what he can of this situation, Carter called for Obama to take specific steps toward this aim at a peaceful resolution. One step specifically, among many mentioned, is Carter’s opinion that Obama should give formal recognition to a Palestinian state. In the editorial he explains that, “I am convinced the United States can still have the future of the Israel-Palestinian conflict before a change in presidents, but time is very short.” Click here to continue reading.
LTRP Note: We find it sad when we think back to how many readers have told us that they still donate to World Vision. Not only is the news story below shocking, but World Vision has been going in the emergent direction for years as we have reported on different occasions. It seems that people want to give to big organizations (just like they want to attend big churches) because it makes them feel safer if they are associated with the masses. What deception! And by the way, if you think World Vision likes Israel, think again (and read some of the articles – see links below) we have posted over the years. If you want to support needy families and children around the world, find a legitimate organization, such as Understand the Times’ Bryce Homes program, that doesn’t despise Israel, doesn’t allow donations to be used for terrorist groups, and actually believes in the biblical Gospel.

TEL AVIV, Israel — Israel has accused a manager working for U.S.-headquartered Christian charity World Vision of funneling millions of dollars to Islamist militant group Hamas.
was arrested by Israel on June 15 while crossing the border into Gaza, World Vision said in a statement. He was charged by Israeli authorities on Thursday.
He had run the organization’s Gaza operations since 2010.
According to Israel’s Shin Bet security service, El Halabi diverted around $7.2 million of World Vision money to Hamas each year. That is the equivalent of 60 percent of the charity’s total annual funding for Gaza.
Some 40 percent of the funds aimed at civilian projects — some $1.5 million a year — were “given in cash” to Hamas combat units, according to a statement issued by the Shin Bet.
Some of the money raised to support injured children in the enclave had been diverted to Hamas families by “fraudulently listing their children as wounded,” according to the agency. Click here to continue reading.
LTRP Note: While Lighthouse Trails does not always issue comments on tragic events (e.g. shootings in Florida and Texas), we want our readers to know that we find these tragedies heart rendering and deplorable. And we are very moved and aware that the families of these victims suffer terribly. We are struck by a sense of dread as we consider the reality that times are only going to get darker as mankind and societies turn further away from their only hope, Jesus Christ and from the truth of God’s Word.
The situation in nations around the world points to end-time events taking place as “the distress of nations” prophesied by Jesus for the last days. Since the beginning of Ma,y there were huge forest fires in Alberta, Canada, in Siberia, and Russia’s far east, Cyprus and California. 2015 ended up being the worst year for wildfires in all of U.S. history, and since 2016 began, things have continued to get worse.
Searing heat has also caused droughts in many parts of the world, including east and southern Africa. Malawi has declared a state of emergency as 2.8 million people face food shortages as a result of drought. In India the month of May saw 330 million people affected by drought. The June monsoon has eased the situation in India, but there are doubts about the country’s ability to provide water for its huge population. One source of water, the Ganges River, is now so polluted that the amount of toxins, chemicals, and other dangerous bacteria found in the river are now almost 3000 times over the limit suggested by the World Health Organization as “safe.”
There have been unusual floods in France, Germany, and Russia, while in the USA, West Virginia is dealing with a “500-year flood” after it received approximately a quarter of its entire average annual rainfall in a single day. There have been reports around the world of unusual fish deaths, in particular in Chile and Vietnam where millions of clams, fish, and even mammals have been washed up on the beaches. In China, a vast number of dead fish suddenly appeared in Hongcheng Lake in Haikou.
he most dangerous volcano in Mexico, Mt. Popocatepetl, has roared to life in spectacular fashion, not far from where Mexico City’s 18 million residents live. Our world is being pummeled by dozens of earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 or greater, and a total of 38 volcanoes are erupting worldwide. Seismologists are warning that the crust of our planet is becoming increasingly unstable. They are concerned that the big quake long feared for California may be about to hit. As well as the spread of the Zika virus in South America, urgent action is needed to combat a yellow fever epidemic in Africa amid signs it is turning into a global health emergency. Nearly a billion people are at risk from the deadly disease in Africa and Latin America and Asia.
The Syrian conflict rages on into its sixth year. Half the country’s pre-war population—more than 11 million people—have been killed or forced to flee their homes. Iraqi forces have pushed back IS from the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, but there has been massive devastation as a result. Fallujah’s population of 300,000 is now in camps in the searing desert heat outside the city. While ISIS is being pushed back in Syria and Iraq, it has “celebrated” the Muslim holy month of Ramadan by launching a series of terrorist attacks causing mass death and injury around the world.
More and more countries are falling into poverty with governments unable to provide their people with the basics of life. Greece, devastated by debt and the Euro crisis, has been abandoned by the EU to a situation of permanent poverty. Suicides have doubled to 3,000 a year. Almost one in three people have no work. The young are emigrating, and people have lost hope of the situation improving. In South America, oil rich Venezuela is now running out of food with people killing cats and dogs to eat. Hospitals have no medicine, and the country is in a state of near anarchy. Brazil, about to host the Olympic Games, is also in an economic and political crisis, after the acting governor of Rio de Janeiro state has declared a state of financial disaster and warned of “the total collapse of public security.”
Droughts, forest fires, pollution of waters causing fish deaths, earthquakes, famine and epidemics, wars, terrorism, collapse of economies–all this points us to the coming time of tribulation as prophesied in such passages as Matthew 24.7 and Revelation 8.7-12, and the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only hope of our world.
