A program aimed at promoting relaxation is causing stress for some Coquitlam parents.
Ken and Rebecca Kavanagh are speaking out against mindfulness education in local schools, saying it contravenes B.C. legislation to keep religion out of the classroom.
Last spring, actress Goldie Hawn visited a local classroom to promote a mindfulness education program developed in 2005 through her charity, the Hawn Foundation.
The program encourages students to focus on their senses and use breathing techniques to clear their minds and increase concentration.Click here to read this entire article.
