Deceit, Delusion, and the Destruction of America

LTRP Note: As we are preparing for the release of our latest book, The Gospel in Bonds by former Soviet religious prisoner and pastor Georgi Vins, we are reminded of this article by Berit Kjos that discusses the danger America is in of becoming another socialist, Marxist-type government. We must keep in mind, that whether it is Islamic terrorism, communism and Marxism, or mystical spirituality and the New Age, Satan has an agenda throughout the world to deceive man into thinking his way is better than God’s way. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for any person. Let us, as believers, work to defend this Gospel message and to help keep its integrity and purity intact. And as we have learned from stories like Pastor Vins, even if we lose our freedom and must be imprisoned for our faith, we cannot be separated from our Lord.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? . . . For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 35, 38-39)

An article in the Russian Pravda titled “American capitalism gone with a whimper” has been spreading a somber view of America. Unlike it’s old Soviet-era namesake, this new Pravda may actually be telling the truth. Most of this message can be verified, as you will see in the links and facts that follow these excerpts:

Vintage Postage Stamp. Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels And V.i. Len“…the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple…. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was…. Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

“First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture…. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their ‘right’ to choke down a McDonald’s burger… than for their constitutional rights….

“Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches… were for the most part little more than Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more than happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the ‘winning’ side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another….

“The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. … His spending and money printing has been record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe….

“These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

“The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.”[5]

We have listed many of these transnational power-brokers in “A Chronology of the Revolutionary Roots of the UN.” Some are obvious participants in the seventy-year-long “partnership” between Russian Communism and leading American capitalists. As you ponder these examples, remember that today’s transformation is no “conspiracy theory.” It’s really happening!

1913. President Woodrow Wilson wrote: “Some of the biggest men in the U. S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”[6]

1919. After Lenin had established his bloody reign in Russia, Colonel Mandel House, President Woodrow Wilson’s main advisor, cabled the president the following message from Paris: “There have been… published here statements made by American papers to the effect that Russia should be treated as an enemy. It is exceedingly important that such criticism should be suppressed.”[7] For references, links, and to read the rest of this article, click here.

Video on Common Core Curriculum Shows Indoctrination of Children in Public Schools

The following video is posted on Kjos Ministries website. Berit Kjos is the author of our new Booklet Tract: A “Common Core” for a Global Community. This video shows just a few examples of how children are being indoctrinated toward a socialistic global society through the Common Core curriculum. Repost: Sojourners Founder Jim Wallis’ Revolutionary Anti-Christian “Gospel” (and Will Christian Leaders Stand with Wallis?)

LTRP Note: We first posted the following commentary in June 2010. We felt it was timely to post it again for those who have forgotten about it or for those who have not yet read it, especially in view of Jim Wallis’ SoJourner magazine’s endorsement of Brian McLaren’s new CANA Initiative, which we wrote about yesterday. If you want to know where things are going, this article will be most “enlightening.”

By M. Danielsen Guest Commentary

Jim Wallis, founder of Sojourners magazine, is one of the top “change agents” today, and the timing of his surge in popularity should not be ignored, considering 1) the ideology of our current administration,  2) the advance of liberal theology via the emerging church and church growth movements, and 3) the current state of apostasy the church finds itself in today. Are all these connected? Through this man, they are indeed.

Unbiblical trends in the church tend to snowball, producing even worse trends: each heretical book or teaching that comes along seems to lead to a worse one; the Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:13 that in the last days, “evil men and seducers [imposters] shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived,” suggesting a progressive pattern of deception.

For those who remember the old “Dragnet” TV show, allow me to “reinvent” Joe Friday: “The story you are about to hear is true. None of the names have been changed – and the only thing I’m interested in protecting is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Worth noting, Jim Wallis will be one of the keynote speakers at Lifest this July [2010]. (Lifest is a large “Christian” music fest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin every summer. 70,000 attendees are expected over the course of the  weekend.)

For nearly forty years, Jim Wallis has expressed himself through an organization called “Sojourners.” He was raised in an evangelical family in Detroit, and attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, but his radical political views made it impossible for him to finish there. [i]

At that time, he also founded an anti-capitalist magazine called, The Post-American, in which he called for the redistribution of wealthand an economy managed by the government. He also experimented for a season with communal living in search of a utopian lifestyle.

In 1972, he moved his work to Washington DC and renamed it Sojourners. He wasn’t just against the Vietnam war, he rejoiced in America’s defeat there showing his leftist sympathies by publicly criticizing the Vietnamese and Hmong refugees who fled that communist regime (we called them “boat people” back then), by claiming they were leaving to support their consumer habit in other lands … that being greedy capitalists made it just too hard to live under a dictatorship.[ii] In remembering the terrible suffering that the boat people endured, what uncompassionate sentiments by Wallis.

Wallis also supported the Sandinista Communists in their attempt to take over Nicaragua in the 80s, actively participating in resistance against the American military – AND working side by side in this cause with none other than Jeremiah Wright, the radical anti-American Chicago preacher who was our president’s pastor for twenty years.

In addition, Wallis supported the FMLN, a communist terror group from El Salvador itching to spread their Marxist revolution throughout South America.[iii] Men have been called “traitors” for much less than what Wallis has stood for.

In 1983, the organization, Accuracy in Media published a lengthy book on the far left policies of Wallis and his organization, documenting 53 political positions of Sojourners on such issues as Israel’s right to exist, terrorism, socialism, capitalism, human rights, etc. In all 53 position statements, it was found that Sojourners’ views were completely in line with the views of hard-line Soviets.

Joan Harris, who did the reporting on this, observed, “Sojourners never criticizes a Marxist state. The US and the West are the only violators of human rights to them because they are capitalist. Marxists, by Sojourners’ own definition, cannot violate human rights.” Wallis calls himself a “Progressive” – but keep in mind that “progressive” is as far left as you can go politically without actually taking a right turn in the process.[iv]

Wallis believes that Castro’s Cuba, Chavez’s Venezuela, and Ortega’s Nicaragua are the Marxist paradises the US should emulate. It is not extreme at all to say, that one of his goals is to see the end of the US as we have known it — “Post-Americanism” finally realized. So, after being arrested by the US government 22 times in forty years, where has he soft-landed? As spiritual advisor to President Obama.[v] Now, with the help of our own government, he hopes to turn mere ideology into policy. He is a living, breathing advocate for total government control, complete socialism, or “totalitarian socialism.”

Wallis has known Obama for over twenty years, and during the “Reverend Wright” damage control days, he was right there advising Obama on how to spin it, helping him draft many “faith based initiatives,” to make the far left appear to have some form of religion, to sell the church the idea that here is a spiritual alternative to the now defunct Religious Right, which Wallis eulogizes endlessly in his book.

In light of all this, one must ask the question, why is this man [Jim Wallis] speaking at a Christian festival aimed primarily at our youth, and with a highly popular figure from the evangelical camp, namely Luis Palau?

In their own words, Sojourners’ mission statement is this: “[F]ounded in 1971, our mission is to articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church and the world.”

What is this social justice that is supposed to transform our churches and our youth in particularly? The dictionary defines social justice as, “The equitable distribution of advantages, assets, and benefits among all members of a society.” Important to note, this is also the definition for “social-ism”: a  government-controlled economy and the redistribution of wealth.

Many are under the impression that social justice is simply caring for the disadvantaged. And who among us who claims to know the Lord would ever be against reaching out to the poor and alleviating suffering? A healthy church will naturally care for “the least of these.” But “progressives” as Wallis take any collective sense of moral responsibility we may have for the disadvantaged and redefines and manipulates it to an entirely different agenda.

Keep this in mind when you watch the extreme changes going on in our country today – Wallis’ social justice turns all the political hot button issues of the day into moral issues with a divine, biblical mandate. Everything from the economy, jobs and education, to health care, global warming, race issues and immigration – now carries with it the moral imperative of fairness, equity, and validity.

For those who question this new global village moral imperative, their Christianity is called into question. This “new morality” is radically changing our country and has been for some time via organizations like ACORN.

You may be asking, what does this have to do with the church? That’s an easy question to answer: social justice presents a social gospel, but is this social gospel THE Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the Bible?

The roots of the social gospel go back to the 19th and 20th centuries. That was when many Protestant denominations took on liberal theology, which includes the post-millennial view that Jesus cannot return until mankind has brought justice to the earth by ridding itself of all social evils. At that time, slavery, temperance, women’s rights, child labor, and equity for the working who were caught in the industrial revolution’s 12-hour work days were the new causes of the liberal churches.

Wallis believes he was born in the wrong century and says so in his book, The Great Awakening. He says he is longing for those early days of social justice awareness, or ‘Great Awakenings’ as they were called – and puts them on par with true Holy Spirit-led revivals;  hence the name of his book, The Great Awakening - an “awakening” he is calling for today.

In an article written by The Berean Call, “The Shameful Social Gospel,” it warns of a gospel that is being tinkered with by some who call themselves evangelicals but in reality are ashamed of the true gospel, presenting one to the world that is more palatable, political, and ecumenical.

Emergent leader Brian McLaren says this: “I think our future will require us to join humbly and charitably with people of other faiths – Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, and secularists in pursuit of peace, environmental stewardship and justice for all people, things that matter greatly to the heart of God.” The Berean Call article says this: “No, what matters to the heart of God is that all should come to repentance and believe the true Gospel.”[vi]

Rick Warren took the social gospel to new levels, by hobnobbing with world leaders and presenting his global PEACE plan to mobilize churches to address poverty and disease at the same time he was telling Christians not to bother thinking about biblical prophecy or Christ’s return.

Wallis has also found a kindred spirit in Willow Creek. Pastor Bill Hybels’ wife Lynne is a regular contributor to Sojourners magazine, clearly resonating with the magazine’s goal. No surprise – Willow Creek offers classes on social justice, (at least one of those classes used Wallis’ book, The Great Awakening) . With over 13,000 Willow Creek Association member churches throughout the world, look at the potential influence Jim Wallis could have on the church if even half of them choose to emulate Willow Creek in their growing emphasis on the social gospel?

There is a movie coming out soon titled, With God on Our Side. Radio host Jan Markell explains that “it is aimed at changing the end-time views of evangelicals and the theology that says the Jews are God’s chosen people and have a divine right to the land.” The producer of this film announces that there is “a biblical alternative for Christians who want to love and support Israel – a “new” theology that doesn’t favor one people group over another but instead promotes peace and reconciliation for both Jew and Palestinian” instead of endless Middle East violence.

The only problem with that pie-in-the-sky thinking is that the Palestinian leadership does not WANT peace with Israel. They want a one-state solution; they want the destruction of Israel. The film’s message to evangelicals is that the US’ old pro-Israel foreign policy was based on end-time theology and has created great suffering among the Palestinians. But today’s more socially aware and compassionate Christians will reject that old policy and realize that the Palestinians are the victim group most in need of Christian compassion. Wallis, McLaren, and Tony Campolo are promoting the film. This film is merely another propaganda vehicle for the “progressive” social gospel indoctrination and an unbiblical spin on the clear teachings about Israel presented throughout the Scriptures.

Marxism is nothing new to this old world. What Wallis is promoting is nothing new either. But let’s take the wood, hay, and stubble of Wallis’ dry old social justice gospel and throw some last days fuel on it: like the Emergent church’s mix of Catholicism and liberal Protestantism; add Rick Warren’s global PEACE plan, and Willow Creek’s annual Leadership Summits featuring speakers like Bono, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Tony Blair and Rick Warren, and before long things are burning out of control. Throw in the fact that the forward to Wallis’ book is written by Jimmy Carter, an anti-Israel leftist who is presently part of a group called The Elders (a group of 12 men and women from around the world – including Mandela and Desmond Tutu); other endorsers are Bill Hybels, Bono, and Brian McLaren (who is on the Sojourners’ board of directors and a regular contributor on its blog).  A picture of a last days apostate false church comes into focus.

Let’s look at some recent quotes by Jim Wallis on key biblical issues.

On being born again:

Jesus proclaimed, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand … He is saying that a whole new order is about to enter history, and if you want to be a part of it, you will need a change so fundamental that the Gospel of John would later refer to it as a “new birth.” Being born again was not meant to be a private religious experience that is hard to communicate … but rather the prerequisite for joining a new and very public movement – the Jesus and kingdom of God movement.”[vii]

On Israel:

The completely one-sided support for Israel from conservative evangelicals rests on 2 things: one, a very dubious interpretation (and I’m being generous here) of biblical prophecy … in which the modern state of Israel is still equated with the Old Testament notion of “God’s Chosen People,” and a complete  denial of the existence of Palestinian Christians.[viii]

On Gay Rights:

Abomination is a pretty strong word…there is a debate and questions over the meaning of the word abomination. [ix] (Referring to Leviticus 18:22)

On the Kingdom:

The kingdom of God, which Jesus came to inaugurate, is meant to create an alternate reality in this world, and ultimately to transform the kingdoms of this world.[x]

On Repentance:

We are all familiar with the famous pop culture image of a street evangelist holding up a sign reading, “Repent, for the end is near!” But repentance is…often misunderstood. This week, one could imagine a group of pastors, priests, rabbis, and imams holding up a sign on Wall Street for the titans of the financial industry to see, reading, “Repent, or the end could be near again….let’s have some sermons on the repentance of Wall Street.”[xi]

Sojourners On Bible Prophecy:

It’s all too easy to make fun of the extreme examples of prophecy belief that we encounter on bumper stickers and best-seller lists. When people talk breathlessly of the dangers of Universal Product Codes and automated teller machines as signs of the impending Tribulation, giggles and head shaking are hard to repress … when we ridicule apocalyptic interpretations of bar codes and the European Common Market, we are … properly rejecting an interpretive method that (suggests a) correspondence between biblical events and symbols, and our own lives. Ought Revelation to be included within the family of Christian texts, or should it be thrown on the fire of apocalyptic excesses?[xii]

On the Imminent Return of Jesus:

Wallis does not talk about our blessed hope (Christ’s return). But then, this “progressive” emerging “gospel” does not offer any genuine hope nor a chance for a personal biblical relationship with God. With so much of the church ignoring and often even embracing this, the church is abdicating its responsibility regarding truth. Period.

Equating biblical care of the downtrodden with the welfare state is rapidly changing the face of the evangelical church. This “pseudo-Christian” morality-based religion for the last days is infiltrating every corner of American society, and the church seems to have either lost the will to identify and counteract its influence or perhaps feels so guilty about it’s mega-excesses that it is operating out of a sense of works rather than repentance and grace. Wallis’ book is the most preachy, shaming, finger-pointing rant I have ever read; and this would make sense – in the absence of Christ’s righteousness and dwelling in a person’s life, all that’s left is self-righteousness, which of course utterly lacks the sweet savor of having a relationship with Jesus Christ where one knows he or she is saved through faith by His amazing grace and that not of his or her own works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

I believe this is a preview of an even deeper, more pervasive apostasy, a marriage of religion and politics that will ultimately come together under the dictatorial reign of Antichrist, who “causeth all, both small and great,  rich and poor, free and slave to receive his mark” (Revelation 13:16). Is this the playing field Wallis and others are working toward? If so, then this is deception of the highest caliber, and believers should find this extremely sobering in light of the lateness of the hour.

In closing, social reformers deceptively blur the lines between two kingdoms, seeking to turn houses of worship into distribution centers for their causes. What they ignore is that all the ills of society are symptoms – the root cause is sin. They reject the cure for sin through the cross of Christ and instead treat symptoms – but in removing the Cross, they are conveniently free to affirm anyone’s beliefs, and the result is a broad-road, all-inclusive global social justice revolution. I call this the Theory of Revolution. It has been taking place right under the church’s nose for a number of years now, and it’s becoming clearer by the day who is aligning themselves with whom, and what kind of agenda is being promoted.

Wallis says in his book that the majority of his audience is under thirty and half of those are under 25. He speaks frequently at major secular universities and now even at conservative Christian colleges. This is how it was done back in the 60s when Wallis was young; today’s liberal thinkers got their worldview from the counterculture agendas of America’s universities. But lest you think Wallis himself is just another counterculture hippie type out there on the fringes of the establishment – note this picture taken at the “World Economic Forum.” This is the annual invitation-only event in Davos Switzerland that brings together the world’s most influential politicians and economists as they work to bring the world under a global authority.

Consider also, that Sojourners’ receives a portion of its considerable funding from the Open Society Institute, this is billionaire leftist George Soros’ organization.

In 2007, the National Association of Evangelicals hosted a dinner gathering called, “A Global Leaders Forum.” The keynote: Ban Ki Moon, current head of the UN. What is he doing at the NAE event? Wallis himself says of the event, that some Christians today might say he had dinner with the Antichrist that night. He also stated: “Last night, the supposed Antichrist was listening to gospel music, speaking of his own faith, quoting scripture, celebrating a new alliance with “the evangelical church” on the critical issues of poverty and global warming, and bringing the conservative Christian crowd to its feet in smiling agreement with the UN secretary’s agenda. Indeed, leader after Christian leader insisted this was a biblical agenda.” [xiii]

To those who have ears to hear, please consider these things and press forward to contend for the faithonce delivered to the saints!  In this late hour, now is not the time to compromise but rather to so love truthin our innermost being that nothing matters except to make sure we are on the side of truth.

May the Lord direct and guide us, as believers, in all matters of faith, earnestly seeking His mind and heart in all things as laid out in His Word.

A “Common Core” For a Global Community: What’s In Store For the Education of Today’s Children?

By Berit Kjos

While preparing this booklet, I came across a headline that illustrates the corrupt values and shameless propaganda behind UNESCO’s Common Core indoctrination. Ponder this assignment: “Students Asked to ‘Argue That Jews Are Evil’ and Prove Nazi Loyalty in Assignment Linked to Common Core.”1 In other words, traditional values are out! Shocking propaganda is in! I hope this booklet will help parents, concerned educators, and our children prepare together for the spiritual battlefields ahead.

The task before UNESCO . . . is to help the emergence of a single world culture with its own philosophy and background of ideas and with its own broad purpose.2 —Julian Huxley, the first head of UNESCO, 1947

 The International Agenda
The goal of education has changed! Our public schools no longer teach the kind of literacy, history, math, and morality we once considered essential to responsible citizenship. The new agenda infiltrating our schools is designed to train a new generation of postmodern “progressive” students to believe whatever might serve a pre-determined “common good.”

If their educators succeed, tomorrow’s students will have neither the facts nor the freedom needed for independent thinking. Their “common core” will be based on a global collective agenda, not on Western democracy or Christian values. Like Nazi youth, they will be taught to react, not think, when nudged to do the unthinkable.

Dr. Thomas Sowell summarized this mind-changing process in a 1993 article titled “Indoctrinating the Children”:

The techniques of brainwashing developed in totalitarian countries are routinely used in psychological conditioning programs imposed on American school children. These include emotional shock and desensitization, psychological isolation from sources of support, stripping away defenses, manipulative cross-examination of the individual’s underlying moral values, and inducing acceptance of alternative values by psychological rather than rational means.3

What Exactly is “Common Core”?
According to one source, “Common Core” education is:

. . . a U.S. education initiative that seeks to bring diverse state curricula into alignment with each other by following the principles of standards-based education reform. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO).4

It’s hard to define the actual Common Core standards. Shrouded in positive promises and perplexing assertions, many ordinary readers are left wondering what’s true or false. Faced with open-ended and unfamiliar terminology, concerned parents are confused and discouraged. They may recognize the false marketing and deceptive propaganda, but they don’t know where to find honest answers. For example, the mission statement posted at “Common Core State Standards Initiative” website is anything but clear:

The Common Core State Standards provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so teachers and parents know what they need to do to help them. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. With American students fully prepared for the future, our communities will be best positioned to compete successfully in the global economy.5

What does it mean by “robust”? Is it “relevant” to the success of all students or just to those who will embrace the spreading immorality and group thinking?

Those confusing but nice-sounding promises brought rapid enthusiasm among some parents, but skepticism is now growing fast. Just ponder the statements below. How do we interpret words such as “clearer and higher” or “rigorous contents”? What does “rigorous” mean in a classroom where facts are replaced by group speculations and dialectical thinking? How can concerned parents find answers to bewildering slogans such as these:

Fewer, clearer, and higher, to best drive effective policy and practice
Aligned with college and work expectations
Inclusive of rigorous content and applications of knowledge through higher-order skills
Internationally benchmarked, so that all students are prepared for succeeding in our global economy
Research and evidence-based.6

This global agenda is far more intrusive, demanding, and dangerous to Christian families than most of us can imagine. So ponder this important warning:

UNESCO’s efforts in the 1960s and 1970s to influence U.S. school curriculum were unsuccessful. But now UNESCO has found a sugar daddy. On November 17, 2004 at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris, UNESCO signed a 26-page “Cooperation Agreement” with Microsoft Corporation to develop a “master curriculum (Syllabus)” for teacher training in information technologies based on standards, guidelines, benchmarks, and assessment techniques. The Agreement states that . . . “UNESCO will explore how to facilitate content development.”

Following the signing of the Agreement, UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura explained it in a speech. One of its goals, he said, is “fostering web-based communities of practice including content development and worldwide curricula reflecting UNESCO values.” No doubt that is agreeable to Bill Gates because the Agreement states that “Microsoft supports the objectives of UNESCO as stipulated in UNESCO’s Constitution.”7

Not long after, Bill Gates (one of the big funders for Common Core) and his UNESCO partners prepared the following “core standards.” Notice that they are much more to the point and threatening than the previous propaganda.

Environmental education will be incorporated in formal education.
Any value or attitude held by anyone globally that stands independent to that of the United Nations’ definition of “sustainable education” must change. Current attitudes are unacceptable.
Education will be belief-and-spirituality based as defined by the global collective.
Environmental education will be integrated into every subject, not just science8

Today’s emphasis on “saving the earth” will surely involve mental manipulation and moral degradation. The earth-centered “new” spirituality will fit well in a culture of promiscuity, propaganda, and paganism. And the seductions of the occult will speed the rising hostility toward biblical truth and values. Everything must change! Make no mistake about it, in a world where the “global collective” determines the outcome, Christianity will not be tolerated! History has proven that.

The Global Roots of “Common Core” Education
Parents beware! A New World Order is rising. The seeds for this transformation were planted long ago, but few saw the warning signs. Now that the evidence is too vast to deny, we need to prepare our children for a different kind of world—a world where an educated and responsible citizenry no longer exists in sufficient numbers to maintain the rule of law and individual freedom.

Today’s education goals were envisioned more than a century ago by socialist American and British elites who steered the process from behind the scenes. Though the labels and faces changed throughout the years, they all served a globalist vision of a totalitarian world equipped to conform young minds to a socialist humanistic system.

Each decade brought us closer to the fulfillment of that anti-Christian agenda. “Common Core” (CC)—also called “Common Core Standards” (CCS) or “Common Core State Standards” (CCSS—is the latest version of an international education plan. These deceptive labels hide the global agenda—at least for the moment.

“Common Core” is the latest extension of previous programs aimed at mind-changing compliance with UNESCO’s evolving guidelines. You may remember some of the past titles: Education for All, Outcome-Based Education, Quality Learning, No Child Left Behind, etc. In the years ahead, new labels and propaganda will surely continue to push this global agenda forward until the purposes of the world’s elite masters are accomplished. In an article titled “The Spiritualization of Science, Technology and Education in a One-World Society,” Dr. Martin Erdmann rightly states:

[Change agent] Aldous Huxley envisioned a future world society totally controlled by an elite group of scientists. His best-known fictional work explicating this dire prospect bore the title Brave New World. Years later he would “revisit” his prognostications only to conclude that he had underestimated the rate of change.9

Aldous, brother of the prominent Julian Huxley who served as the first Director-General of UNESCO, was raised among British socialist/globalist elites (some of whom funded Communism in Russia). He shared their vision and glimpsed their totalitarian goals. Of course, he didn’t know that more than half a century later, the global-minded Bill Gates would use his wealth to help establish that long-term vision:

Gates’ astronomical wealth has persuaded millions that Common Core is the solution to education problems.10

As you scroll down the century-long chronology below, notice the powerful people, the elitist organizations, and the wealthy foundations that have planned, steered, and funded the amoral transformation of our schools, churches, and communities. Their common goal is global socialism: a totalitarian New World Order!

1905. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching was founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1905 and chartered in 1906 by an act of the United States Congress. Together with other Carnegie Foundations, it has been a major promoter and funder of socialistic global education projects.11

1908. John Dewey, known as the socialist father of modern (i.e., progressive) education, laid the foundations for a revolutionary transformation of American schools. In “Religion and Our Schools,” he wrote, “Our schools . . . are performing an infinitely significant religious work. They are promoting the social unity out of which in the end genuine religious unity must grow. . . . dogmatic [Christian] beliefs . . . we see . . . disappearing.12

1919. The Institute of International Education was established with a grant from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. . . . John Dewey (socialist) served on its National Advisory Council.13

1933. John Dewey, honorary president of the National Education Association (NEA), co-authored the first Humanist Manifesto, which stated: “Any religion that can hope to be a synthesizing and dynamic force for today, must be shaped for the needs of this age.”14

1934. In a report presented at the annual NEA meeting, Willard Givens (later NEA executive secretary) wrote: “all of us, including the ‘owners’ [who might they be?] must be subjected to a large degree of social control . . . . [T]he major function of the school is the social orientation of the individual. It must seek to give him understanding of the transition to a new social order.”15 (emphasis added)

1942. The editor of The Journal of the National Education Association, J. Elmer Morgan, wrote an editorial titled “The United Peoples of the World.” In it, he explained that a world government would need an educational branch, a world system of money and credit, a world police force, “a world bill of rights and duties.”16

1946. “The establishment [UNESCO] marks the culmination of a movement for the creation of an international agency of education. . . . Nations that become members of UNESCO accordingly assume an obligation to revise the textbooks used in their schools . . . . Each member nation . . . has a duty to see to it that nothing in its curriculum . . . is contrary to UNESCO’s aims.”17 (emphasis added)

1946. In his NEA editorial, “The Teacher and World Government,” J. Elmer Morgan, wrote, “In the struggle to establish an adequate world government, the teacher . . . can do much to prepare the hearts and minds of children . . . . At the very top of all the agencies which will assure the coming of world government must stand the school, the teacher, and the organized profession.”18

1947. Julian Huxley wrote in UNESCO: “The general philosophy of UNESCO should be a scientific world humanism, global in extent and evolutionary in background . . . In its education program it can . . . familiarize all peoples with the implications of the transfer of full sovereignty from separate nations to a world organization. . . . Tasks for the media division of UNESCO [will be] to promote the growth of a common outlook shared by all nations and cultures . . . to help the emergence of a single world culture.”19

1948. The NEA produced a set of international guidelines called Education for International Understanding in American Schools. It included this statement: “The idea has become established that the preservation of international peace and order may require that force be used to compel a nation to conduct its affairs within the framework of an established world system . . . . Many persons believe that enduring peace cannot be achieved so long as the nation-state system continues as at present constituted. It is a system of international anarchy.”20

1968. Professor John Goodlad reported that Professor Benjamin Bloom [called Father of OBE] “was invited by UNESCO in 1968 to submit a proposal for a six to nine week training program which would partially fulfill recommendations made at UNESCO’s Moscow meeting dealing with the formation of national centers for curriculum development and research.”21

1973. The socialist authors of the Humanist Manifesto II wrote: “We deplore the division of human-kind on nationalistic grounds. We have reached a turning point in human history where the best option is to transcend the limits of national sovereignty and to move toward the building of a world community.”22

1976. An NEA program titled A Declaration of Interdependence: Education for a Global Community, was made available to schools across the country . . .. The report said, “Educators around the world are in a unique position to help bring about a harmoniously interdependent global community.”23 Note: That “world community” was officially born in 1945, when Alger Hiss served as Secretary General at the founding of the United Nations.

1985. The curriculum arm of the NEA, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), co-sponsored an international curriculum symposium in the Netherlands. According to Education Week, the ASCD executive director, Dr. Gordon Cawelti, urged representatives of other Western nations and Japan to press for the development of a “world-core curriculum” based on knowledge that will ensure “peaceful and cooperative existence among the human species on this planet.”24

1991. On October 30, the U.S. Coalition for Education for All (USCEFA) convened a conference titled Learning for All: Bridging Domestic and International Education with First Lady Barbara Bush as the honorary chair. It would provide a vital link between the UNESCO plan and U.S. implementation. Partners in this venture included UNESCO, UNICEF, the World Bank, the NEA, and a long string of organizations involved in education at every level:

The coalition was part of a 156-nation network working to reform education worldwide by bridging the gap between individual nations and UNESCO’s Education for All. Keynote speaker Elena Lenskaya, deputy to the Minister of Education of Russia, spoke on the topic, “Education for a New World Order.”25

1993. “The 240 international affiliates of the NEA and the American Federation of Teachers joined to form Education International (EI).”26

Behind that long historical chronology stood influential elites who supported the global vision. They include bankers, presidents, and politicians as well as members of secret societies such as The Council of Foreign Relations (CFR), Skull and Bones, Bilderberg and the Trilateral Commission. President Obama is surrounded by global-minded counselors such as Joe Biden, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and others.

So Who Will Rule the Global School?
In 2006, a world-changing event took place. It would revolutionize education, families, faith, and basic values in our fading “land of the free.” I’m referring to the “Moscow Declaration” that was officially adopted on June 2, 2006, by the Education Ministers of the United States, the Russian Federation, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The members of this international “Group of Eight” (G-8) have committed their nations to “cooperation in education at all levels in the 21st century.”27

What about America’s “Common Core” standards? How do they fit into the Moscow Declaration?

Marketed to American families as an improved education program, the actual truth about “Common Core” has been hidden. Our government leaders didn’t tell us that we were already committed to a multinational education agenda! But it all makes sense when we consider the century-old movement toward global education and a New World Order!

In one review, a conservative education reporter explained the implication of the “Moscow Declaration”:

Russia’s Science and Education Minister Andrei Fursenko described the declaration as “both a final document of the conference and the document that will be implemented by education ministers of all the world countries and international organizations, including the World Bank, UNESCO, and UN.”28

That certainly sounds like a global education system, doesn’t it? But the American people were kept in the dark! The review continues:

The U.S. Department of Education said the member delegates “pledged to share best practices across borders” to build “education systems that can allow people . . . to live and contribute to a global society.”

What can be expected from the Moscow Declaration? If the historical results of U.S. participation with international reforms continue in the same vein, it is not unreasonable to expect the whole of U.S. education—from preschool, elementary, secondary, and higher education—will encounter further upheaval and decline.29

Today’s sobering realities remind me of the boastful statement made by Nikita Khrushchev back in 1959. Perhaps he was right:

You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like overripe fruit into our hands.30

Envisioning an Interconnected World

In the global village . . . networks will link students around the world to each other and to a vast body of information and human knowledge.31

That promise was made in 1994 during a trans-Atlantic conference between Washington and Berlin. Education Secretary Richard Riley and Labor Secretary Robert Reich shared strategies for building the Global Village Schools with their German counterparts. They agreed that educational accord will be vital to their goal of “enforcing social transformation.”32

Do you wonder what kind of “social transformation” they planned to enforce? Was personal liberty on their agenda? Or did they seek totalitarian government control as in the French Revolution? What goals and values guided their plans for global education and social transformation? Capitalism? Socialism? Or Communism? Or a new form of totalitarianism?

And where does militant Islam fit into this global power struggle for the collective minds of children? Its ambitious Sharia-minded leaders are unlikely to compromise! And why would they? Corrupt politicians and liberal media masters are bending over backwards to accommodate Islamic “rights.” But Islamic leaders have their own agenda in America as well as in the Middle East, and they will not tolerate our Christian beliefs.

Bombard Children With Mind-Changing Suggestions
A familiar tale told to first-graders in Pennsylvania illustrates both the tactics and the planned transformation of the world. We all know the story of the Little Red Hen who wanted some bread to eat. She asked some of her barnyard friends to help make it. But the cat, the dog, and the goat all said “no.” Finally she did all the work herself. Yet, when the bread was done and its fragrance spread throughout the farm, her unwilling and lazy neighbors were more than willing to help her eat it.

“Won’t you share with us?” they begged.

“No,” she answered. “Since you didn’t help, you don’t get anything.”
In the context of traditional values, the moral of the story might be: you get what you work for. But those who have learned to think and see from the “new” global perspective are led to a different conclusion. Listen to the kinds of questions the first grade teacher asked her class:

Why was the Little Red Hen so stingy? Isn’t it only right that everyone gets to eat? Why wouldn’t she share what she had with some who had none?33

The concerned mother who heard and reported this story asked, “What kinds of values were the children taught?” The new interpretation emphasizes love and sharing, but what is missing? How might it confuse a child’s values?

The answers are obvious. The children were taught socialist values. The new interpretation vilified values that had motivated Americans to be diligent, responsible, and fair. The teacher’s questions were actually strategic suggestions prompting the group to ridicule traditional values, to see reality and society from the new politically correct perspective, and to intimidate and shame anyone who dared to disagree.

A new mental “framework” is vital to the global paradigm shift. But to launch the new system, the old patterns must be blurred, broken, and forgotten. The educational establishment knows that children who are fed a daily diet of biblical truth will resist their plans for change. They also know that students bombarded with strategic suggestions will probably reject Christianity. If schools can build the “right” kind of filter in the minds of young children, the new global beliefs will fit right in.

Focus on Feelings, Not Facts
This shift from factual education to mental manipulation and feeling-based learning began more than seventy years ago. Through the decades, the strategies previously used to manipulate minds in the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany were developed, first at the Tavistock Clinic near London and later at Germany’s Frankfurt School (originally called Frankfurt Institute for Social Research). Their mind-bending methods soon spread to a rising number of psycho-social research centers in America. They were fine-tuned at Columbia, Harvard, Stanford, and other American universities, at our regional educational laboratories, and at the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies where Elian Gonzales was remediated in preparation for his return to a Communist system.

At the 1989 Governor’s Conference on Education in Kansas, Dr. Shirley McCune, then head of the Mid-Continent Regional Educational Laboratory, summarized the policy in her keynote speech:

The revolution… in curriculum is that we no longer are teaching facts to children…. We no longer see the teaching of facts and information as the primary outcome of education.34

“What will take the place of logic, fact, and analysis in the coming age?” This rhetorical question was raised by Dr. Donald A. Cowan, president emeritus of the University of Dallas. His revealing answer exposes an important step toward the new consensus:

The central way of thought for this new era will be imagination. . . . Imagination will be the active, creative agent of culture, transforming brute materials to a higher, more knowable state.35

A simple example of this process was exposed by a Christian teacher in Sunnyvale, California. During a public elementary school assembly, the students sang the words of the Peacemakers’ Planetary Anthem to the tune of the “Star Spangled Banner.” This melody, which has symbolized freedom to those who have loved America, now became a tactical trigger used to turn hearts from the old ways to the new vision.

To shape “world-class students” who see reality through a multicultural filter, social engineers keep testing their latest modification strategies on our children. One tactic is managed group thinking (the dialectic process) which prompts them to reject their old home-taught morality and embrace the collective values of their dialoguing classroom group.

The war against Christian values is not going to stop, and our children will remain the greatest target. The signs of complete global transformation are already closer than most people realize. We can no longer count on the American Constitution, which was based on moral and just values, as it is daily being redefined. More often than not, today’s choices are totally contrary to biblical standards that helped in creating America’s founding values.
May God show us how we can best equip our children to stand firm in Christ in the midst of the coming battles. Let us remember that our Lord still reigns! In the midst of this spiritual war, He will surely provide His strength, wisdom, and His comforting nearness to all who choose to trust and follow Him!

O our God . . . we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon Thee. (2 Chronicles 20:12)

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. (Psalm 18:2)

But God said: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Further Implications of Calvary Chapel North Coast Event – Lynne Hybels Presence Shows Serious Move Toward Apostasy

Yesterday, we posted an article titled “Calvary Chapel Breached” by journalist Jim Fletcher. The article focused on a Calvary Chapel church (North Coast) in California and its invitation of a Palestinian man named Sami Awad. Fletcher’s article showed the implications of this invitation by Calvary Chapel and how this indicates the further move toward apostasy in the church today. One of the signs of a church becoming emergent is the changing views regarding Israel’s role in Bible prophecy. We have documented for years the growing hostility toward Israel by emergent figures. Our follow up today is going to focus on another person who will be at the Discipleship and Training event at North Coast Calvary Chape on May 10th – Lynne Hybels  (wife of Willow Creek, Bill Hybels) - and the implications of her being there.

First of all, back in 2006, Chuck Smith, the founder of the Calvary Chapel movement, made a clear and concise statement that Calvary Chapel would not tolerate churches within their “fellowship” that promoted the emerging church or contemplative spirituality. While Chuck Smith’s own son was ousted for his emergent views, other Calvary Chapel pastors have been allowed to remain in the movement even when they were promoting emerging/contemplative views or people. What North Coast Calvary Chapel is doing is a case in point.

To bring Lynne Hybels into a Calvary Chapel event is making a huge statement by Calvary Chapel. Hybels is very connected to the Marxist- leaning, liberal machine of Jim Wallis’ SoJourners. She is a regular writer for SoJourners magazine and shows her affinity with Wallis in the things she writes. Therefore, we are going to post an article that was written ( by someone within the Calvary Chapel movement) a few years ago, which shows the clear direction of SoJourners (and thus Lynne Hybels). This is not guilt by loose association but rather guilt by promotion or proxy. And make no mistake about it, Jim Wallis and SoJourners are NOT for Israel or the Jews. It is an anti-Christ spirit that reigns in the world today. As Warren B. Smith has pointed out in his book, False Christ Coming: Does Anybody Care?, the “new” spirituality leaders believe the “era of the single Savior is over.”

Sojourners Founder Jim Wallis’ Revolutionary Anti-Christian “Gospel” (and Will Christian Leaders Stand with Wallis?)

Worth noting, Jim Wallis will be one of the keynote speakers at Lifest this July.

In light of all this, one must ask the question, why is this man speaking at a Christian festival aimed primarily at our youth, and with a highly popular figure from the evangelical camp, namely Luis Palau?

In their own words, Sojourners’ mission statement is this: “[F]ounded in 1971, our mission is to articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church and the world.”

What is this social justice that is supposed to transform our churches and our youth in particularly? The dictionary defines social justice as, “The equitable distribution of advantages, assets, and benefits among all members of a society.” Important to note, this is also the definition for “social-ism”: a  government-controlled economy and the redistribution of wealth.

Many are under the impression that social justiceis simply caring for the disadvantaged.

The Berean Call, in their article “The Shameful Social Gospel,” warns of a gospel that is being tinkered with by some who call themselves evangelicals but in reality are ashamed of the true gospel, presenting one to the world that is more palatable, political, and ecumenical.

Heretic Emergent leader Brian McLaren says this: “I think our future will require us to join humbly and charitably with people of other faiths – Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, and secularists in pursuit of peace, environmental stewardship and justice for all people, things that matter greatly to the heart of God.” The Berean Call article says this: “No, what matters to the heart of God is that all should come to repentance and believe the true Gospel.”[vi]

To those who have ears to hear, please consider these things and press forward to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints!  In this late hour, now is not the time to compromise but rather to so love truth in our innermost being that nothing matters except to make sure we are on the side of truth.

May the Lord direct and guide us, as believers, in all matters of faith, earnestly seeking His mind and heart in all things as laid out in His Word.

Transforming the World through Violence, War, Deception & Chaos

By Berit Kjos

“The spring of 1945 brought peace and reunions! My father had been a leader in the Norwegian “underground” resistance movement. He was captured and sent to Grini, Norway’s Nazi concentration camp. But now he was home! It was finally time for celebration!” - Berit Kjos

Some of you may still remember year 1940, when the world stood at the brink of the World War II. Japan had been ravaging China and Korea. The Italian armies of Mussolini had occupied Ethiopia and were persecuting its Christians. And Hitler, who had already “annexed” Austria and Czechoslovakia, invaded Romania and planned to conquer all of Europe — and much more.

Elite leaders on the opposing side of the war would use the spreading turmoil to build support for their vision of a United Nations.[2] And we shouldn’t be surprised. The historical record is full of hidden agendas, clever deceptions and expedient chaos.

But before we move ahead, lets look back at some old clues to today’s changes. The following quotes from our Chronology of the UN sheds light on the power and secrecy behind the familiar scenes. Click here to continue reading.

Government takeover of the Land of the Free? Executive Order Signs Away Rights of the People

LTRP Note: Another sign of the time and a diminishment of freedom.

Executive Order: National Defense Resources Preparedness

By  Judi McLeod (Canadian Free Press)

…Early Sunday morning and the AWOL mainstream media has missed the proverbial boat on the latest Executive Order signed Friday by President  Barack Hussein Obama.

Executive Order “National Defense Resources Preparedness”, in effect nationalizes all the energy, food and water currently existing on American soil.

The EO is cunningly covered under the auspices of Peace Time Martial Law at the discretion of one man.

Although now posted on the Drudge Report, at the time of this writing, only scant reportage on the Web about the signing away of liberty  and individual rights.

Tea Party leaders and patriots doing Paul Revere duty by disseminating the news of Obama’s latest executive order must have sent word to websites other than Canada Free Press (CFP) overnight.

As large as life, Executive Order “National Defense Resources Preparedness” is up there on the White House website, or as one patriot wrote in her email: “Hot off the Government press”. Click here to read more. (If you click on this link, you will be able to read the executive order signed by Barack Obama.)
