1.
Why don't you talk to these people first before exposing their deeds?
Answer: This is not a Matthew 18 situation. We are not dealing
with private persons but rather with those who have become major public,
influential figures. Please refer to our web
page regarding this.
2.
Wouldn't it be better to keep these matters quiet and hidden rather
than let everyone know about them?
Answer: The word occult means hidden. The power of sin lies
in its secrecy. When light is shone on darkness, the darkness is
expelled.
3.
Is it right to speak to and about ministers and pastors this way?
Isn't is disrespectful?
Answer: God is no respecter of persons. We are brothers and
sisters in Christ. It is deceitful to keep silent when we know something
is wrong just so we can be popular and more liked by others.
About
Rick Warren's email to us
Question: Who allowed the email to become public?
Answer: Rick Warren. Within hours of our receiving this email,
Rick Warren had given permission to a colleague of his to post the
email on the Internet. Within 24 hours it had become widely circulated.
Question:
Why didn't you give a personal response to Rick Warren?
Answer: Three reasons:
a. This does not fall within the guidelines of Matthew
18.
b. Rick Warren made his email to us a public matter when he gave
permission for the email to be posted on the Internet.
c. The email we received from Rick Warren was filled with so many
erroneous and misleading statements we have decided we can have
no dialogue with him at this time.
Our first concern is for those who have been misled by Rick Warren
and Purpose Driven.
About
David Jeremiah's letter to us:
Why
did you go public with David Jeremiah's letter to you?
Answer: Turning Point Ministries began sending out to numerous
people the letter David Jeremiah wrote privately to us.
Why
did you come on so strong to David Jeremiah?
Answer: "Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed."
As believers, we are to speak the truth to one another in love;
we so often remember the love part but not the truth part.
For
David Jeremiah to defend his joining together with Ken Blanchard
and to defend Ken Blanchard so adamantly is horrific - if David
Jeremiah's namesake, the biblical Jeremiah, were here today, what
do you think he would say? We, as so much less than that Jeremiah
of old, should we do any less? Isn't it time the body of
Christ holds these men accountable for their words and actions?
Or do we just continue floundering about to and fro with every wind
of doctrine?
"Thus they have loved to wander; They have not restrained their
feet. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; He will remember
their iniquity now, and punish their sins." The words of Jeremiah
(chapter 14)
About
Ken Blanchard:
When
did Ken Blanchard become a Christian?
Answer:
According
to his own autobiography, We
Are the Beloved (1994), Blanchard has been a Christian since
the mid-80s. In his own words he says, "In 1985 my [spiritual] journey
got a boost when Margie and I met Bob and Linda Buford." A few pages
later in the book, Blanchard says, "I bowed my head and said, 'Lord,
I can't save myself here.'" And then, "I accept Jesus as my Savior
and the bridge between You and me."
"It
was the success of The One Minute Manager, self-published in 1981
and nationally released by William Morrow in 1982, that spawned his
Christian faith, he [Blanchard]says."
