Rick Warren, Leonard Sweet, and Sweet's "New Light" Leaders

by Warren Smith

LTRP Note: While some Christian leaders are issuing warnings about New Age figures such as Oprah, Eckhart Tolle, and A Course in Miracles, this same new (age) spirituality (under a "Christian" disguise) is being promoted and embraced right in the Christian church by popular Christian teachers and authors.

"Rick Warren, Leonard Sweet, and Sweet's 'New Light' Leaders" (from A "Wonderful" Deception)

by Warren Smith

Quantum spirituality bonds us to all creation as well as to other members of the human family. . . . This entails a radical doctrine of embodiment of God in the very substance of creation. . . . But a spirituality that is not in some way entheistic (whether pan- or trans-), that does not extend to the spirit-matter of the cosmos, is not Christian.1--Leonard Sweet

Shortly after Deceived on Purpose was published, I came across a book titled Quantum Spirituality: A Postmodern Dialectic written by Rick Warren's "Evangelical" colleague Leonard Sweet. Also, around the same time, I was given a cassette tape set of a presentation Sweet had done with Warren in 1995. Their recorded discussion is titled The Tides of Change and was packaged as part of an ongoing series called "Choice Voices for Church Leadership." At the time this audio project took place, Sweet was a Christian author, Methodist minister, and the Dean of the Theological School at Drew University. According to information on the tape set, this presentation was about ministry on the emerging "new frontier."2

Challenging pastors to make changes in their ministry to meet the emerging postmodern culture and the changing times, Sweet and Rick Warren present themselves not only as pastors but also as modern-day change agents. In their conversation together, Sweet enthusiastically remarked to Warren: "I think this is part of this New Spirituality that we are seeing birthed around us."3

In listening to this cassette-tape series, I found it interesting that Leonard Sweet was talking about the birth of a "New Spirituality" with Rick Warren way back in 1995. Since 9/11, "New Spirituality" is the term that most New Age leaders are now using instead of "New Age Spirituality." By simply removing the word "Age" from "New Age Spirituality," the "New Age Spirituality" has suddenly become the "New Spirituality." Emerging church figures like Sweet, Brian McLaren, and others are also employing the term "New Spirituality." They use it to describe the "new" Christianity they are practicing as "New Christians" and "New Light leaders."4 What has become clear over the last decade is that the "New Spirituality"--with its bottom line belief that God is "in" everything--is, in reality, the foundational New Age "hub" for the coming New World Religion. This panentheistic New Age/New Spirituality teaching that God is "in" everything will be the "common ground" melting pot belief that the coming New World Religion will ultimately rest upon.

In The Tides of Change, it is clear that Rick Warren and Leonard Sweet are working toward a "New Reformation" of the church.5 But as I read Sweet's book Quantum Spirituality: A Postmodern Apologetic, I quickly discovered that Sweet's New Reformation is really just a New Age re-formation of biblical Christianity--a New Spirituality. And his New Age/New Spirituality take on things is just one more reason to be concerned about the further New Age implications that are already so present in Warren's Purpose Driven movement.

Serving Two Masters
Although I was not previously familiar with Leonard Sweet, I knew that his book, Quantum Spirituality, had raised some concerns about his apparent affection for New Age teachings. When I began reading through Quantum Spirituality, I could see why people were concerned.

Highly intellectual and well-read, Leonard Sweet almost dares you to keep up with him as he charges through the spiritual marketplace. Operating at lightning speed and quoting from countless books and articles, he will impress many readers with his quick wit and spiritual insights. However, as he treacherously dives into New Age waters and challenges his readers to go there with him, serious problems arise within his "postmodern apologetic."

In reading Quantum Spirituality, I recalled the Sermon on the Mount when Jesus warned that you can't serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). Leonard Sweet may be a professing Evangelical Christian, but he also simultaneously praises New Age authors and their teachings. Observing Sweet's obvious New Age slant to Christianity, I was not surprised to see that he was one of the featured speakers at a 2007 leadership conference at the Crystal Cathedral.6 He also co-led two small-group workshops with Warren in 2008.7

New Light Leaders?
While some Leonard Sweet defenders have argued that Sweet's hybridized postmodern "New Light" apologetic flies right over the heads of "old light" "fundamentalist" types, the facts tell a much different story. What I learned in reading Quantum Spirituality is that Sweet is in the process of trying to transform biblical Christianity into a quantum/postmodern/New Light/New Age/New Spirituality. Without apology, Sweet writes that he is part of a "New Light movement" and he describes those he especially admires as "New Light leaders."8

In the "Acknowledgments" of Quantum Spirituality, Sweet expresses his deep gratitude and admiration to various "New Light leaders" that he openly praises as "the most creative religious leaders in America today."9 Included in his group are a number of New Age leaders I am very familiar with--most particularly Willis Harman, Matthew Fox, and M. Scott Peck. Sweet describes these three men--along with all the others cited--as "extraordinary" and "great" New Light leaders. He goes so far as to say that they are his "personal role models" and "heroes" of the "true nature of the postmodern apologetic." Sweet writes:

They are my personal role models (in an earlier day one could get away with "heroes") of the true nature of the postmodern apologetic. More than anyone else, they have been my teachers on how to translate, without compromising content, the gospel into the indigenous context of the postmodern vernacular.10

But many of the men Leonard Sweet acknowledges have compromised the "content" of the Gospel by translating it into the "postmodern vernacular" of a New Age/New Spirituality. For example, Willis Harman, Matthew Fox, and M. Scott Peck have all played leading roles in the building and popularizing of today's New Age/New Spirituality movement. Therefore, how can these three leaders be Sweet's "role models" and "heroes"? Sweet's praise of these men says all you need to know about his "postmodern apologetic." Rather than commending these New Age/New Light leaders, a self-professing Christian leader like Sweet should be warning the church about them. A brief look at these three "New Light leaders" and their teachings will make this very clear. (This is an excerpt from chapter 10, A "Wonderful" Deception by Warren Smith. A Vision That Will Usher in the End of History

by Ted Kyle
Guest Writer

Many years ago, as I read in the Bible that all the nations of the world would unite to destroy the Jewish nation (Joel 3:2,12; see also Matt. 24:9 and Rev. 14:8), I wondered how a Christian nation--our country--could be brought to league with Muslim nations, and Hindu and Buddhist countries as well, against Israel. Each of these faiths is utterly opposed to the others! It would take a mighty transformation indeed to unite them under any banner!

Only recently have I come to see (in a book by Ray Yungen, A Time of Departing), the mechanism by which this reconciliation can occur: the New Age movement. And already, as Yungen makes clear, Satan's great scheme is far advanced, with its outposts firmly established in popular culture reaching ever deeper into the Church itself.1

Satan's great object, as we know from the Bible, is first to establish his man as the despot or dictator of the whole world. So widespread will his great power be that no one will be able to so much as buy food at the grocery store without displaying the Anti-Christ's mark of ownership. Then, with his power consolidated and his legions marshaled, this Anti-Christ, also named in Scripture as "the Beast," will move to obliterate God's Chosen People, the nation of Israel--thus finally fulfilling Satan's ancient ambition to defeat God's chosen champion, His Son, Jesus Christ (see Genesis 3:15) and rule unchallenged.

A vital part of the Enemy's plan is to create an all-encompassing one-world religion. This unified religion would pave the way for "the coming one"2 awaited by New Agers--i.e., a false messiah, alias "the man of sin." In order to elevate this imposter to world rulership, Satan will need an enthusiastic and dedicated cadre to lead the way, plus the passive acquiesance of "the silent majority," with deadly force waiting in reserve. Adolph Hitler followed this pattern in the 1930s, when he gave defeated Germany a renewed vision of greatness to come. It's a pattern that goes far back in history, probably even as far as Nimrod, the great-grandson of Noah who is credited with first uniting all the tribes of man under one government, at Babel/Babylon (Gen. 10:10).3

Satan's plan was checked initially by God's direct intervention, when He split the common language into many different tongues. Satan's one-world attempt with Hitler in our day failed, though at a staggering cost to the world. Yet in the not-too-distant future, Satan will make his ultimate convulsive effort: again his man of the hour will hold forth an iron fist concealed within a velvet glove. This time he will offer peace and plenty to the whole world, and at the same time offer fulfillment of the vision that mankind is God (Gen. 3:5).

How will he do this? By proclaiming that everyone already is as God, at least potentially.4 His heralds are even now sounding forth this message in the world's market places, in its halls of government, and in its churches. The message is as old as the serpent in the Garden of Eden, who said to our first mother, "Ye shall be as gods" (Gen. 3:5). It is the same message which long ago empowered the mystery religions spawned by ancient Babylon,5 and today is revived as New Age doctrine. It is the universalist message predicted by New Age prophets to unify the world by drawing multitudes to a "higher consciousness" which transcends all the world's present religions. They believe the present opposing doctrines and dogmas will be superseded for millions of believers around the world who believe they are experiencing oneness with Deity.

With this elite cadre leading the way, with the power of all the communications media under his power, with impressive demonstrations of supernatural power (Mark 13:22), and with the tacit support of "solid citizens" around the world, the Beast will have secured a power base from which to launch his one-world dictatorship. The diminished power of the true children of God will earn them only pursuit and persecution--and the opportunity to be martyrs for the True Christ, Jesus, the Son of God.

Such, in essence, is the direction toward which I am convinced our world is tending. The Son of Perdition will enjoy his brief time of total ascendancy: He will gather his armed might to attack and overwhelm at last the major target of his enmity, God's chosen nation, tiny Israel. And in this final battle before the Millennium, The Lord Jesus will turn the certain destruction of Israel into its glorious triumph, by putting forth His omnipotent power.

Just prior to that hour when Satan's great hope is destroyed, Israel will undergo its final great cleansing trial, from which the surviving remnant will at last rejoice, as a nation, in its Savior, Jesus the Messiah (Zech. 12:10; 13:1, 6, 8-9). Then will follow the onset of the Thousand Years of Peace, when Christ rules the world--with a rod of iron for those who will not accept Him as Savior/Deliverer, and peace and plenty for His followers.

This is the broad sweep of the future as I read the signs of the times, both in Scripture and in ancient and modern literature. Please allow me to explain:

Yungen's research led him to this prediction, in Messiah and the Second Coming, by John Davis and Naomi Rice6: "The coming one" [note: not Jesus, the True Christ, but a false messiah anticipated by mystery religionists beginning with ancient Babylon and culminating in our day by New Agers] "will not be Christian, a Hindu, a Buddhist, not an American, Jew, Italian, or Russian--his title is not important; he is for all humanity, to unite all religions, philosophies, and nations."

Yungen points out that New Age philosophers don't actually try to reconcile the many diverging belief systems we see in the world today. They regard them all as more or less irrelevant--as simply steps to a higher level of truth, in which doctrines have no real power or place. Instead, these devotees look forward to freedom from all the restraints of "religion," because they have been promised by their "spirit guides" that they will find God within themselves: They will be "God"!

Of course their "spirit guides" are demons, disguised as "angels of light" (2 Cor. 11:14), and these "ascended ones" are simply deluded fodder for Satan's control apparatus, but that revelation will only come when Satan and his "ministers" unmask themselves and reveal the mailed fist within the velvet glove.

Meanwhile, his agents find "fields white unto their own peculiar harvest" within the realm of Christendom. This advance corps of Satan's deluders--themselves deluded--come in the guise of Christians, offering a "better way into the presence of God." It is a seduction that is fulfilling before our eyes the biblical prophecy that seducing spirits would turn away multitudes of hearts (1 Tim. 4:1), which will "seduce, if it were possible, even the elect" (Mark 13:22).

This way is called "contemplative prayer," which must be entered into by emptying the mind of all thought. This "silence" of the mind supposedly invites God to come in. Actually, however, it unbars the heart's door to the intrusion of the spirit world.

This type of prayer--or non-prayer--is directly descended from Oriental Mysticism, which in turn can be traced to the Babylonian mystery religions which infiltrated Roman Catholicism, and which also spread throughout the world. The method of infiltration was to simply clothe the pagan rituals and belief system with a skin of Christian nomenclature. The principle works well with churches half-asleep and inclined to blindly follow trusted leaders no matter where they lead. It worked in the Fourth Century, and it is working today.

All that the Bible foretells WILL come to pass. We cannot turn that aside. What we can do--must do, for the sake of our souls and the souls of those in our charge--is WAKE UP! Try the spirits (1 John 4:1). Be not deceived by well-sounding titles, but ascertain what lies beneath. Be very sure that it is Jehovah God and our true Lord (not "the Cosmic Christ" who is Satan's imposter) that are glorified.

And gird your loins for the intensifying struggle, as the Lord's true soldiers. But know that the battle is the Lord's, and He will be ultimately victorious. He cannot fail! And how sweet will be our victory with Him!

Walter Cronkite is Gone, But Plans for New World Order Still Here

LTRP Note: Walter Cronkite, who was once called "the most trusted man in America,"1 has died. As the following article by WorldNetDaily points out, he had been involved with American news reporting for as far back as most people can remember. But what the article below also points out is that Walter Cronkite had a propensity for a one-world government.

One thing the WorldNetDaily article does NOT say is that Cronkite had worked with New Age leader Marianne Williamson in a Washington DC lobbying group to bring about a Department of Peace. In Ray Yungen's book,
For Many Shall Come in My Name, he discusses this effort:

Williamson and Cronkite, along with Congressman Dennis Kucinich, are trying to convince the US government to start a cabinet-level Department of Peace within the executive branch via House bill HR808. The fact that someone as mainstream as Walter Cronkite would align himself with the openly metaphysical Williamson bespeaks of the current spiritual climate of our society. Incidentally, the campaign to start the Department of Peace is gaining momentum and currently has the support of over 60 U.S. Representatives and Senators and has local grassroot chapters in over 200 congressional districts.2

Following the WorldNetDaily article are links to Lighthouse Trails articles about the New Age effort to bring about a Department of Peace and the implications of having such a Department.

"Meet the real Walter Cronkite"
by Joseph Farah
WorldNetDaily

WASHINGTON--Walter Cronkite is dead at 92--but most Americans, many of whom considered him "the most trusted man" in the country during his reign as CBS News anchor still don't know what motivated him and how he secured such an influential and lofty position.

He was like a grandfatherly institution in the early days of TV. People believed him. Uncle Walter wouldn't lie, America believed.

Thus, when he gave his opinions, they had impact. One example was his report on the Tet offensive in Vietnam, which is credited with swinging the tide of opinion against the war.

Even in his death, however, nobody has addressed how and why an otherwise obscure figure at the time was elevated to become the most prominent anchorman on television.

The story was told publicly in the July 10, 2000, edition of the Nation, a Marxist-oriented journal, in a report on death of Blair Clark, who served as editor of the Nation from 1976 through 1978: "Whether it was calling on Philip Roth to recommend a Nation literary editor or persuading CBS News president Richard Salant to make Walter Cronkite anchor of CBS Evening News, Blair had a gift for the recognition and recruitment of excellence." The Good Works of Mysticism or the Grace of God?

by Ray Yungen

The New Age and Christianity definitely disagree on the answer to this dilemma of human imperfection. Metaphysics puts forth the doctrine of reincarnation and karma where the soul, through good works, evolves through many lives to a point where it can free itself from earthly bondage and become self-realized, united with the universe which is seen as God, but in reality is the realm of familiar spirits.

On the other hand, Christ's Gospel offers salvation to mankind through grace (unmerited favor). Romans 3:24 says, "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Then in Romans 6:23 we read, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

This "gift" is not earned or given as a reward for earnest effort or good intentions. Ephesians 2:8-9 states clearly:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

The reason human effort does not work is because man is "dead in trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2:1). The word works is translated "actions" or "doings." This can either mean good deeds or engaging in religious rituals.

In metaphysics, the very word karma translates to mean actions or works. By your own effort and doings you are supposed to advance spiritually. If you are "dead" spiritually, as the Bible states, the concept of karma would be like trying to start a car without a battery.1

Senate Vote for "Hate Crimes" Sparks Warning

by Bob Unruh
WorldNetDaily

A key Senate vote during the wee hours when most Americans were asleep has added the so-called "hate crimes" plan, which creates federal protections and privileges homosexuals and others who have chosen alternative sexual lifestyles, to a defense spending bill.

While there are procedural hurdles yet, opponents say they expect the proposal that essentially makes homosexuals a protected class of citizens in the United States soon will reach the desk of President Obama, who has lobbied for it.

But the vote prompted both a warning about what a law linking criminal behavior to thought would do to free speech and a promise that the nation won't give up its citizens' basic rights easily.

"In six months President Obama and the Democratic-led Congress have forced on the American people the most radical and and immoral agenda," said Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. "The administration and the Democratic-led Congress are out of touch with the mainstream. They represent the most fringe extreme elements of America. They will not be able to continue their efforts to undermine moral values, socialize the economy and trash American pride and heritage.

"The people will not remain silent forever," he said.

A Movement That Will Deceive "Wonderfully"

C. Pack (Freelance Writer)

In his book A Wonderful Deception, Warren Smith comes to the startling conclusion that the new age, instead of being a bygone movement of the past, is alive and well, and in the process of merging with a false church is a movement that threatens to destroy orthodox Christianity as we know it. (Church + New Age = Emergent Church) It is a movement that will "deceive wonderfully" (Daniel 8:24).

And that's just for starters. What this is all leading to is an ecumenical, one world religion (as prophesied many places in Scripture, most notably in Revelation). This global religion will be panentheistic in nature; that is, the belief that God is "in" everything. This of course stands in distinct contrast to the Christian view, which holds that God is separate from, and transcendent to, His creation. But Smith even makes the case that the scientific community is on the verge of proclaiming that this religious worldview--panentheism--is not only true, but is scientifically verifiable. As Christians, we know that God "writes" his signature on many aspects of creation, just as a painter might sign his painting, signifying that the work is His. But the (largely atheistic) scientific community, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, does not (or will not) "see" any evidence for a sovereign, creator God who stands separate from His creation. Instead, they are on the brink of "proving" a god who is identical to the pagan and occultic worldview of what god is: god as vibration, as energy, as chi, prana or flow (depending on the worldview one holds). This belief is of course preferable to an atheist, who does not want to bend the knee in humble submission to the creator God of the universe. Vibration? Energy? Those are just natural laws--and require no response because they are, in essence, "neutral." But the sovereign creator God does require a response from His creation: either repent of sin, love Him and come to him as he requires (through the blood of Christ) or rebel against him. The Bible states that there are only two choices! Jesus himself said plainly: "He who is not for me is against me." (Luke 11:23)

As a former new ager, I have also been doing new age research for a few years, and have noticed a curious trend in the publications I review: there is increasing talk about something described as a "quantum leap," a "planetary evolution." These terms are used for the new age belief that the world as a whole will begin to move from "individual co-creation" with the world around it to a "planetary co-creation." This is new age parlance for the idea that the number of people awakening to their "inner divinity" will reach such a "critical mass" that the entire world, including those not in alignment with this belief system, will be swept along toward the next stage of planetary evolution: world peace. This of course is also in direct contrast to scripture which states that because of the Fall, we are born wicked and "dead in our sins." We have no inner divinity. But many innocent Christians today, thanks to a generation of "seeker sensitive" churches teaching "doctrine lite," do not even know the truth of scripture enough to recognize deception when they see it--and thus are buying into this belief system, which is nothing more than a spiritual wolf in sheep's clothing.

Warren Smith also makes the case well that this "one-ness" and "inner divinity" new age talk is going on in the emergent church movement. The underlying belief in both the new age and in the emergent church seems to be that only when our world awakens to its "one-ness" will there be peace. This is a false eschatology and is actually fulfillment of the prophetic statement in Jeremiah 8:11 (" 'Peace, peace,' when there is no peace."). The traditional Christian view has always been that there is no peace and there will be never be peace until Christ returns and reigns over his earthly kingdom.

Warren Smith is a meticulous researcher who dots all his i's and crosses all his t's. If you have heard the terms emergent church, contemplative prayer, fractal theory, quantum leap, etc., and wondered what they meant, then this is a must-read. Satan's lies and schemes aren't new ... but they are remarkably effective. Arm yourself with truth so that you may stand against the deceptions and lies of Satan. Warren Smith's book will open your eyes and help you see the deceptions flowing into today's church.

Serious Concerns over Rick Warren's Ecumenical Efforts with Islam

by Miscellaneous News Source

LTRP Note:

The following is a link to a compilation of noteworthy articles regarding Rick Warren's move toward uniting Christianity and Islam. It is also worth noting that the contemplative prayer movement, of which Rick Warren is a major proponent, embraces the notion that mysticism (i.e., contemplative) can unite all religions. Thomas Merton, the Catholic mystic, said that doctrine must be put aside and mysticism embraced in order to bring together the world's religions. Rick Warren has often stated that his reformation will be one that emphasizes deeds over doctrine and that his reformation will include those of different faiths. This is also the mantra of the emerging church movement.

We have seen a marriage grow between false Christianity, all false religions, the political realm and all of society in the West in general, and now Rick Warren as its prophet is reaching out to Islam, but I highly doubt Islam will take hold. This whole idea is anathema to the true beliefs of Islam just as it is anathema to the true beliefs of Biblical Christianity. To read compilation of articles, click here.

Disciples of Deception in Southern Baptist Convention

by Ken Silva

Apprising Ministries

Within a source paper called Spiritual Disciplines: Pathway to Christian Maturity (SDPCM), from the Georgia Baptist Convention (SBC), we learn what is now considered consistent with a proper Protestant approach to spirituality for Christians in the Southern Baptist Convention. Continuing along the lines of Richard Foster Forming Protestant Southern Baptist Convention Spirituality here Apprising Ministries begins with the following from Living Spiritual Teacher and Quaker mystic Richard Foster in SDPCM.

You can find SDPCM e.g. under Discipleship Resources of the State Board of Missions of the Alabama Baptist Convention (SBC) right here and it opens with a quote from Foster's magnum opus of spurious spirituality, which Dr. Gary Gilley correctly called a virtual encyclopedia of theological error:

Thirty years ago, Richard Foster, in the beginning of his book, Celebration of Discipline wrote these words: "Superficiality is the curse of our age. The doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary spiritual problem. The desperate need is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people. The classical Disciplines of the spiritual life call us to move beyond surface living into the depths."

This begs the question: What "classical Disciplines of the spiritual life," which apparently escaped the attention of God's Church Reformers, are we talking about? Pastor Bob DeWaay has done a scholarly expose The Dangers of Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Disciplines: A Critique of Dallas Willard and The Spirit of the Disciplines; for those who don't know ordained Southern Baptist minister Dallas Willard is Foster's twin spiritually, who was once Willard's pastor.Click here to read this entire article.

Episcopal Vote on Gay Clergy Widens Anglican Split

by Miscellaneous News Source

Reuters

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A global schism in the worldwide Anglican Communion looked set to widen on Tuesday after its U.S. branch, the Episcopal Church, approved a resolution to ordain gay and lesbian clergy.

The ordaining of gay clergy and related issues have already prompted some conservative congregations to leave the Episcopal fold, while a few traditional Anglican churches in regions like Africa have broken ties with their more liberal U.S. brethren.

The resolution was passed by wide margins by both of the church's main decision-making bodies, the House of Bishops and the House of Deputies, at its General Convention in Anaheim, California, south of Los Angeles.

The resolution affirmed that "God has called and may call such individuals (gay or lesbians), to any ordained ministry in The Episcopal Church."Click here to read this entire article.

Amazon Review on A "Wonderful" Deception

Review of A "Wonderful" Deception
by Roxanne A.
Used with permission.

The depth and scope of the deception going on in the churches today is unimaginiable, I am glad Rick Warren and his cohorts are getting exposed for the wolves in sheeps clothing they are. Thank you Warren Smith for contending earnestly for the faith---I pray souls will be saved and pray likewise that Rick Warren and all those taking part in the deception bow a knee in repentance to the ONLY way to the Father--the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and kick that New Age "Master Jesus" they are following to the curb!

I am a former Jehovah's Witness---I did NOT come out of that cult, just to get sucked into this Purpose Driven-New Age-Ecumenical-Emergent false christianity! Thank you Jesus for paying the penalty for my sin. I am a sinner and I need a Saviour and I WILL CLING TO THE OLD RUGGED CROSS and CONCERN myself with bible prophecy, even though I wasn't in the New Age like Warren Smith ----it was also BECAUSE Bible prophecy that I got saved. Yes, there really ARE people posing as "Christian" leaders that are promoting doctrines of devils. It is our biblical duty to protect and warn the Body of Christ in these perilous times!

Contemplative Spirituality: A belief system that uses ancient mystical practices to induce altered states of consciousness (the silence) and is rooted in mysticism and the occult but often wrapped in Christian terminology. The premise of contemplative spirituality is pantheistic (God is all) and panentheistic (God is in all). Common terms used for this movement are "spiritual formation," "the silence," "the stillness," "ancient-wisdom," "spiritual disciplines," and many others.
