As many of you have probably heard by now, last week we received a 1 1/2 page email from Rick Warren of Saddleback Church. A call to Rick Warren's office confirmed the email was indeed from Rick Warren. Within just a few hours of our receiving this email, unbeknownst to us, it became public information when a former Saddleback member, Richard Abanes, posted portions of the email on his AR-Talk forum and then in its entirety on his web site (www.abanes.com/warren_lighthouse.html). In referring to our April 20th press release regarding Rick Warren's connections to Ken Blanchard, Abanes said:

"The so-called 'Press Release' from Lighthouse Trails Research contains so many false statements and harmful accusations that Warren himself actually sent an email to the Lighthouse Trails Research.... I have received permission to post this email."

You can imagine the stir this has caused. Many of you have emailed or called us to see if we are going to post a response. The answer is yes, most definitely. That response will come sometime soon.

Because this has become a public matter, we will post our response publicly.
