Our Christian school has a trunk or treat day. Members of the church contribute candy and treats, which are placed in the trunks of cars. The students wear costumes of Biblical characters and visit each car to get their treats. In Mexico the end of October is called the Day of the Dead. Families picnic in the cemeteries to be with their dead loved ones, something Protestants do not do. Basically, Halloween celebrates death and the occult. No believers should participate in Halloween. On Halloween we would stay home and hand out candy and Christian tracts to the trick-or-treaters who came to our door.
