By the Bryce Homes Board in Kenya
The month of December this year has been quite unusual and a sad month for the entire Bryce Homes Kenya as a family. First it was BH #28 (Molly, now the late) followed by BH #35 (Leah, now the late). The two Bryce Homes have left behind children most of whom are too young to live on their own. The deceased have been under this Program for a couple of years. They experienced occasional ill-health, and this Program has indeed done a lot to keep them until the time of their demise. We pray for the orphans and trust in God for their future.

Bryce Homes Kenya has been in existence over the last 10 years, and it has impacted positively the lives of widows and hundreds of orphans. This Program currently reaches out to over 33 homes with foodstuff and laundry. This is done every month, and it has been really useful in the lives of these humble families. In some instances, the Program even built houses which were more improved compared to the temporary ones that housed the widows with the orphans.
Despite the sad news, we also registered some good news when another girl, Lydia, graduated at one of the renowned universities in Kenya. Lydia is one of the girls that Bryce Homes provided for their education. In fact, at the beginning, it is Bryce Homes Kenya that provided homecare for Lydia (a FGM escapee) alongside other 13 girls at a Centre that later became established into a Christian School. It is so encouraging to know that some of the readers further helped pay for her university fees. We thought this is a milestone that we should celebrate together.
As a Bryce Homes family, we are praying for more doors to open so that the Program may continue reaching out to the needy in the society. We believe, by the grace of God, the Program will continue to sustain lives even as we reach out to Understand the Times and Lighthouse Trails readers who can come together for this worthy cause.
Below are the selected photos from our recent activities and reports. The testimonies are enormous and most of these will be delivered in the form of monthly Newsletters.
