He will come again in glory
at the ending of the age
when man has done his utmost
and sin has earned its wage
When He comes again in glory
there will be lightning in the sky
trumpets will be sounding
and there’ll be no place to hide
When He comes again in glory
all man’s evil to arrest
every knee will bend before Him
and every tongue confess
That He is the God of glory
come to conquer by the sword
and that every man’s a sinner
and that Jesus Christ is Lord
When He comes again in glory
all the dead in Christ shall rise
the Maker without a maker
the Creator of the skies
Creator of the cosmos
He knows the ways of outer space
He finds no matter to be dark
He holds the universe in place
When He comes again in glory
reclaiming what is His
He will make us as we should be
and we will see Him as He is
When He comes again in glory
the God who is the great I Am
we’ll see the vengeance of the Lion
and the glory of the Lamb
When He comes again in glory
a mounted army at His side
they shall be arrayed for battle
and we shall all know how to ride

Holly,
Yes. The poem is taken from the lyrics to the song “When He Comes Again in Glory”. But recording is just too expensive.
Thanks for liking the lyrics.

Wonderful poem! When I was just a child and saw rays of light coming through the clouds (the photo reminds me of that), the LORD ministered to me even then and I would wonder if He was coming that day! Oh, the faith of a child. 🙂
THANK YOU so much for the poem and photo.
Thank you Lighthouse Trails for this poem today. Like Holly said such a beautiful and needed reminder that our Lord has defeated darkness. When we see such evil abounding all around us it then that He reminds us to keep our eyes on Him. The Lord of all hope and glory is coming very soon. I pray today, that in these last days when our days here are so very hard, that the Lord would show us how to live our lives worthy of the price He paid for us at Calvary. All Honor, all Glory, and all Praise to Him!!
After reading about the mass shootings in the past couple days, this was such a beautiful reminder that Jesus has defeated the darkness.
Thank you for this encouraging poem!
Has it also been put to music?
Lovely poem. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Yes! Thank you for posting this wonderful poem.
I love writing poetry, especially when it glorifies our blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the soon coming King!
Thank you so much for posting this! Much needed encouragement in these dark times to keep our eyes lifted up as our Redemption draws nigh! Appreciate ALL that you do in your ministry!!!
