Winston Churchill famously reassured the U.S. that its long northern border was ‘guarded only by neighbourly respect and honourable obligations’.
And generations of US leaders have tended to agree – there’s nothing to worry about from solid and reliably uncontroversial Canada.
Until now, that is.
Anyone who ever thought that the compassionate response to extreme human suffering is a society that helps people find permanent release from their pain may want to look at some of the horror stories coming out of Canada recently.
To be clear, euthanasia laws in the US are nothing like those of its neighbor to the north. But American acceptance of the practice has been growing for decades despite warnings that legalized suicide is a slippery slope toward a calamitous debasement of human life. Click here to continue reading.

Canada has become increasingly intolerant of religion in general, and Biblical Christianity in particularly. Canada apparently does not enjoy the freedom of religion as the US does.

Yes, it’s called the slippery slope fallacy and Canada is freefalling to the bottom, sadly.
It was never enough to kill children from inside the womb or just born. Now it seems Canada will look for any excuse to suggest ending a life is the best “medical” option. And people thought it was a hysterical notion that this would be the leap made when abortion was normalized….
Canada with its liberal, ‘anything goes’ policies is sad. Years ago, I seriously considered moving there, but then saw Canada deteriorate on every level; the decline started in the latter part of the 90s and has been accelerating since. It has become a country of spiritual/physical death indeed, which is sad. Its natural beauty fades into insignificance when these perverted, ungodly ways prevail.
Following is a link to an “Activity Book” for children ages 6-12 that teaches children about MAiD, I think it is a testimony of how far our country has fallen. Page 4 is particularity sad to me. It seems to make death into “just a thing” – not something to fear. It is the fear of death, both temporal and eternal death, that also points to the fact that we need the Saviour!
