Those were the same techniques I learned when I practiced Zen.
The wages of Zen is death. Empty your mind. Meditate mindlessly.

This reminds me so much of spiritual warfare as shown in Ephesians 6 (“We are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places; therefore, take unto yourselves the whole armor of God …) which was depicted in Frank Peretti’s book This Present Darkness about 30 years ago (not necessarily recommending all his books; the Lord used that one to open my eyes to what is happening in ordinary places, small towns, college campuses — and the value of Biblical intercession).

I’ve read this before here, but never noticed before now that this is based on a true story! WOW. That speaks volumes. The main thing I get from this is how important it is for us to know the Lord and abide in Him continually, and to teach our children well so they won’t be sitting ducks when they go out into the world on their own.

Christian parents need to read Castles in the Sand before they send their children to a college that teaches contemplative spirituality. Why? The college is opening their children to the occult world of darkness. After world war 1 many people were wondering were there dead child from the war had gone to. Instead of going to the Bible they went to fortune tellers that claimed they could speak to the dead. Demonic forces took over. Many parents paid these demons so they could talk to their dead child’s spirit. Spiritualism spread like a wild fire in Europe and America. Mysticism spread to many colleges and church es . Today many Christian Colleges, as Tessa found out, do not teach the Bible . Remember Ms. Jazmine in our story. She did not even have a Bible! The teachers taught them Spiritual Formation learned from the mystic desert apostates of old. We live in the last days of the dispensation of Grace. Salvation is still a gift from God through the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Trust Christ Today
