This week is especially hard for me, because I am facing something that I thought was a “problem” that was dealt with in my marriage relationship years ago by my husband who professes to be saved. It surfaced this week again and I have been able to truly give this to the Lord to deal with this time, but as I am going through each day the feelings of anxiety return every day. I know that the Lord has allowed this situation to bring a real victory this time and so I see it as a “stepping stone to victory” and I have real peace about it, but the enemy tries to bring thoughts and fearful feelings all the time. There remains a rest for the people of God. I pray that God will keep me in that place of rest and quiet trust in him. He is faithful and never fails. God provided this article at a time when I really need it. Thank you.

I enjoyed this good article. The word “longsuffering” is a word that has been in my thoughts as of late. It is a word that I have read about and is listed as a fruit of the spirit. I know that I never fully understood what this word means. This article tells so well what “longsuffering” means. I am so thankful to our Lord for His teaching me and showing me that it is a fruit. A fruit that can only be produced by painful experiences that so often are very long lasting. I remind myself that our Lord is acquainted with all our emotions and has suffered them all. I know He is Always beside us in all our trials and sufferings. He is our wonderful counselor and comforter. Thank you Maria for writing this article and also to Lighthouse Trails….you are both such blessings. Lynne

Thank you for this encouraging article. We all have problems we can’t solve but, thank the Lord, we don’t have to, He will. It’s remembering to put them into His hands and then entering His rest. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine.
