A federal court in Canada has ruled that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act against protesters in 2022 was unconstitutional, according to a judicial review released on Tuesday.
Trudeau utilized the Emergencies Act to stop truckers from protesting against the Canadian government’s COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and vaccine mandates. Trudeau’s use of the act was not legal and “not justified,” Federal Court Justice Richard Mosley wrote in the decision, according to the Canadian Constitutional Foundation (CCF). It’s been quite a week in my country…
Although it’s always close to my mind, I don’t often post about C-vid and my country/province’s morbid over-reaction, my experiences during the thick of it, or the lessons learned… but this week an exceptional event occurred. The Emergencies Act, invoked two years ago to supposedly protect the nation against those “holding unacceptable views,” was deemed illegal by a federal judge. Wonderful!
The Liberal Party, of course, will take this to the Supreme Court; they have to, for the ramifications are truly unprecedented. And they very well may win at that level, for although the Court is supposed to be unbiased, it’s weighted with Liberal appointed judges – and this entire fiasco has demonstrated that impartiality means nothing.
And then the Liberal Minister of Justice stepped down…
In all of this there’s a double-edged reality; I’m very glad to see this charade crumble, yet at the same time, it reinforces the sad fact that our Federal government and its agencies – including the RCMP – along with the mainstream media and the banks who seized private trucker/supporter accounts, are untrustworthy when it comes to the most fundamental levels of liberty and law.

I still react with jaw-dropping incredulity at the ease with which tyranny inserted itself via the covid gambit.

To see more action, like the following, to right wrongs done to Canadian citizens is heartening.

As a Canadian Christian, I thank God for the truckers’ convoy. With very few exceptions, our church and evangellyfish “leaders” uttered not a peep of protest against the regime’s outrages, and refused to support those few Christians who did protest. They wouldn’t fight for their own rights, the rights of their congregations, or the rights of their neighbours about whom they claim to care so much.
I’m surprised that the Justinites are appealing the decision instead of doing what they usually do, which is to ignore rulings that go against them and just continue with their lawlessness. We don’t have a government in Ottawa; we have a George Soros/Klaus Schwab/Chinese Communist globalist puppet regime that functions as a criminal operation.

I keep encountering this misconception from people who don’t follow Canadian politics…
That somehow the Trucker convoy was defeated.
