VICTORIA, Canada – A baby boy has been successfully delivered via C-section from a Canadian woman who has been brain dead for nearly two months.
As previously reported, Robyn Benson, 32, collapsed on December 28th after complaining of severe head pain. It was later discovered that she had suffered massive hemorrhaging on the brain, and was declared to be brain dead. Her husband Dylan, who went to the store to get Benson a bottle of Tylenol, returned to find his wife unconscious, but still breathing. Doctors attempted to revive Benson, but were unsuccessful, and concluded that it was unlikely that the woman would ever wake up. . . .
While reports initially stated that the baby was to be born in the weeks to come, Dylan has now announced that his son, Iver Cohen Benson, has been successfully delivered. He weighed two pounds, thirteen ounces and was 28 weeks gestation. Click here to continue reading.
