Homeschool parents would face fines, misdemeanor charges and even jail time if they do not report themselves to local public school officials, under a new proposal from Illinois Democrats.
Parents also would be required to provide public school officials with a “portfolio” of their children’s work at any time, at any interval and frequency, until that portfolio meets the public school’s satisfaction. The bill, dubbed the “Homeschool Act,” requires parents to report themselves in writing to local school officials starting in 2026. Parents who do not will be considered truant. They face Class C misdemeanor charges, which are punishable by up to 30 days in jail. They also face fines and lengthy hearings forcing them to comply with the Act. Democrats are all about controlling everything and everyone! Consider, the former Biden/Harris director of education was a lesbian married to another woman. At the turn of the century, children were taught sentence structure, identifying nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, etc; in the first grade. They also learned cursive. They could write complete sentences with complicated grammar and own a wide vocabulary. Now, many Americans cannot write a proper sentence. A principal told me teachers no longer need to teach spelling and grammar because of spell check on computers.
Due to government education, 50% of graduates are illiterate. “Half the children in this country, when they graduate, are unable read their diplomas.” Legislators are all about elitist rule, keeping the masses uneducated. Only those who employ public schools should finance them.
Education is all about teaching deadly sexual agendas, not learning academics, to make the populous adhere to elitists rule and control. The Bible was once the standard and the main book taught in all schools and was respected. Also, Noah Webster’s “Blue Back Speller” was part of the curriculum and is still sold on Amazon. It taught upright morals to children as well as the Bible. “The great American educator Noah Webster first published A Grammatical Institute of the English Language, otherwise known as the Blue Back Speller, in 1783. His goal was to provide a uniquely American, Christ-centered approach to training children. Little did he know that this remarkable gem would become the staple for parents and educators for more than a century and would help to build the most literate nation in the history of the West. Many of the Founding Fathers employed this book to home school their children, including Benjamin Franklin who taught his granddaughter to read, spell, and pronounce words using Old Blue Back.”
Only those who choose to place their children in government schools should be taxed to maintain them. People who do not support these atheistic, all about sex institutions, should not be required to pay taxes for their existence.
