Since 2016, Lighthouse Trails has been sending out topical booklets three times a year* to a growing list of pastors and Christian leaders. Our current list contains 582 names.
Last week, we sent out our fifteenth mailing, but instead of sending out booklets, this time we sent each pastor and leader a copy of Warren B. Smith’s new book, The Titanic and Today’s Church.
The following is the letter we included with the book:
Dear Christian leader:
The book enclosed is written by former New Age follower Warren B. Smith and is published by Mountain Stream Press (which donated several hundred copies to Lighthouse Trails, one of which you are receiving).
One Christian leader who read the book called it a masterpiece; another said it was a blockbuster, and one person said it was riveting. We believe these reviews succinctly describe this unique book that shows the disastrous parallels between the Titanic and today’s church. This book shines a light on what is coming and what is already here. May it help you and those you serve to be evermore discerning.
Sincerely in Christ,
The Editors at
Lighthouse Trails Publishing, Inc.
Our regular booklet mailings will resume later in 2021. If you would like your pastor or a church leader to begin receiving these mailings, please send the name and a valid mailing address to us at editors@lighthousetrails.com. The names and addresses on this list will remain confidential.
These mailings cost you or your pastor nothing.* However, if you have just added your pastor to the list and would like him to receive, in addition to future batches, some of the booklets we have sent out previously, you might consider purchasing the 15-booklet Pastors Pack. If you do buy that pack, you can put your pastor’s name in the ship-to section of the online order form or our mail-in form. We will send you the receipt and send him the pack. Your name will not be included unless you request it.

I had read Warren Smith’s excellent book “The Titanic and Today’s Church” I’ve purchased several copies to give to Pastors and friends, along with many of your other discernment pamphlets! God Bless you for all you are doing for the body of Christ!

A young Jewish couple began to visit my assembly in 1984. They wanted to know more about Christianity and The Lord Jesus. They came to our Gospel meeting, watched our breaking of bread, heard ministry and came to a nursing home with us to watch us preach the gospel. They were very interested in the gospel. After 3 months they began to give us articles about their Jewish Faith and became very confused about what they should believe. Sadly they told us they were going back to the Jewish Faith and we never saw them again. The pressure from family members seems to have won out. We still pray for their Salvation. Keep on keeping on Lighthouse. God Bless the Gospel.

Lisa,
A huge number of the names on our list are the pastors of our readers and in many cases are sound biblical pastors who just need the information to stay up to speed with what is happening. But even with the names of those who may have veered away from truth (and for sure some have), since only God knows the status of their hearts and conditions, we do not take it upon ourselves to determine that but do make every effort to warn and equip others, leaving the fruit of our efforts up to the Lord. And let us keep this in mind that having perfect doctrine is not a prerequisite to salvation. If that were the case, no one would make it. Salvation is determined solely on the finished work on the Cross and His Resurrection by Christ. That said, the verses you have listed are sobering and cannot be ignored. We must continue praying for those who have lost their way into false teachings that they will have their eyes opened and return to the pure simple faith in Christ.

Thank you, Lighthouse Trails, that you continue to issue loving, firm, and urgent warnings about these things and for your provision to others of the tools and resources with which to do the same.

I think you’re sending out these mailings to people who have fallen away from the faith… I don’t think they can come back from that.
1 Timothy 4:1
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.
Romans 11:22
Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
Hebrews 6:4-6
For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.
