I re-joined the Methodist Church denomination 2-3 years ago. Last spring, during Holy Week services, Pastor changed from a Good Friday service, to a Stations of The Cross service. I had grown up in a Catholic farming community (my family is not Catholic), so the practices/services that Catholics do, are familiar to me. I chose to go to a Tenebrae service at a Wesleyan Church. This year, Pastor again held a Stations of The Cross. Again, I refused. I don’t do Lenten services/study either. It bothers me to see Catholic services in a Protestant mainline denomination. Do I stay a Methodist or go somewhere else?
