Well put Brenda, and if you keep looking, you will find we are so overwhelmed by “the teachings of men”, it is scary. I would love to compare notes with you on other fundamental doctrines…… John R Wallis

Great article. My only issue is the comment on lordship salvation. Interestingly, one of the edits to all of the new version Bibles is, “the Lord Jesus Christ.” In its place is “Jesus “or “Christ” or even just “he.” It might simply be a matter of semantics but Jesus Christ is not just the God-man who saved me from my sins. He is my Lord, and I will spend my days seeking his will rather than my own (if say, I was my own Lord). Legalistic obedience is death and we will never be close to perfect this side of glory, but may our Lord Jesus Christ lead us in every single breath we take.

2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Romans 10:17 so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

What a blessing to see this exposed. So many people in such confidence stuck in this teaching. I would love to hear more.
