It’s unclear how many Christians are going along with the current neo-Marxist collective guilt movement out of fear, a misunderstanding of what they’ve signed onto, or an authentic conversion to the cause. What is clear, however, is that you can’t be a Christian and a Marxist at the same time—not without irresolvable contradictions.
Whereas traditional garden-variety Marxism views history as a struggle between the wealthy and the working class “proletariat,” neo-Marxism cranks up the heat and redefines the fight to incorporate biological sex, race, ethnicity, and a whole gambit of various “identity” badges.
The grand unifying principle for the Marxists behind the Black Lives Matter movement is that everything—and they mean everything—can be reduced to “oppressors” versus the “oppressed” [e.g., “Critical Race Theory”]. If you happen to be a member of one of the “oppressor” groups, then expect to see all sorts of punishments heading your way until the neo-Marxists are satisfied. Except they never are. The B.L.M has drawn a line in the sand: White privilege makes you the “oppressor “ and black people are the “oppressed.” Of what? Racism. Racism, sadly, can be seen in America. But calling it white privilege is wrong. Christians should never be racist. Why? The Bible tells us to love one another as ourselves. Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself. For God so loved the world. True Christians cannot be a Marxists. Why? A Marxist hates God and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Christians pray for peace in these dark days. Thomas Sowell said: More whites were brought as slaves to America or to the 13 colonies from which it was formed. White slaves were still being brought and sold to the Ottoman Empire decades after blacks were freed in America.1
So much truth in this article! Thank You for posting it. This “collective” guilt is FALSE guilt. The majority of people who are accepting this false guilt have not done one thing to further any violence against black people, and many have done many things to promote true peace among all people.
An ironic thought has been running through my mind: Before this rioting began, there had been MUCH talk in the media saying that black people were disproportionately affected by Covid-19, emphasizing their need to stay safe.
So — WHY, when the rioting began, did those who had been saying that NOT immediately caution them to go home and “stay safe”, to get out of the streets to prevent exposing themselves, and possibly others, to the virus???
That was a rhetorical question, of course. The answer is simple and nasty: Political Correctness.
And one more thing: A couple of night ago, I saw a speech by LBJ (Democrat president at the time) address the issue of riots in Detroit in 1967.
He said that rioting is NOT the same as protesting, that destroying property, looting, attacking police officers, police cars, etc, and burning down whole city blocks is nothing but CRIME.
Can anyone imagine what would happen if any Democrat were to speak plain truth like that today? They would be drummed out of the Democrat party, immediately! Plain honest speech is NOT tolerated by the Left, period.
BTW, LBJ signed the 1965 Civil Rights bill.
