As many of you know, veteran film maker and Lighthouse Trails author, Caryl Matrisciana, was in a very serious bicycle accident last fall. She no sooner began to recover from the accident when she was diagnosed with breast cancer that by the time detected had spread into her lymph nodes. And now, last week, she was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. All of this has come on the heels of her finishing with her Wide is the Gate series, a film set that exposes the worst deceptions taking place in the church today: contemplative, emerging, replacement theology, and the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation).
We ask you to please pray for Caryl that she may once again walk in health and wholeness.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
The following is an April 4th post on Facebook from The Berean Call:
We have a special prayer request from our dear friend Caryl Matrisciana. Caryl has been going through a serious testing time in the area of her health, and she …would appreciate your prayers. Many of you knew that she was involved in a very serious bicycle accident several months ago, and spent a good amount of time in the hospital recovering from major injuries.
She has since found out that she has invasive breast cancer that will most likely require surgery very soon. Upon learning of this diagnosis, she began a rigorous program of careful eating and use of supplements to strengthen her immune system. She also scheduled a necessary knee surgery (fallout from her accident). That has been completed, and just as she was healing up from it, she fell seriously ill with pneumonia and has been in the hospital since Monday. The pneumonia doesn’t seem to be responding well to antibiotics, and they aren’t sure why.
She has a wonderful team of doctors and nurses, many specialists, and others who are giving her lots of tender care and attention. They would like to perform a PET scan prior to her upcoming breast surgery, but they want her lungs to be cleared up first.
Please pray for our dear friend! She said that she is a bit “down” over this but not defeated. She has been very aware of the hand of the Lord in every aspect of these injuries and illnesses, and praises Him for all of the great care that she has been given. She also recognizes that we are all subject to the arrows of the enemy and covets your prayers in that regard. Thank you all so much.
If you would like to drop her a word of encouragement, cards can be sent to 30141 Antelope Rd, Menifee, CA 92584.
