Lighthouse Trails has been issuing warnings about the New Age propensities of Roma Downey for the last few years because of the promotion of Ms. Downey by popular Christian leaders such as Greg Laurie and David Jeremiah.
From Lightworker’s Website:
LightWorkers Media and President Roma Downey have secured worldwide rights to New York Times best-selling author Debbie Macomber’s “Angels Everywhere” complete book series, which currently has seven titles in the franchise. . . .
Macomber has more than 200 million copies of her books in print worldwide. In her novels, Macomber brings to life compelling relationships that embrace family and enduring friendships, uplifting her readers with stories of connection and hope. Macomber’s novels have spent over 1,000 weeks on the #1 New York Times bestseller list with thirteen of her novels hitting the number one spot. Click here to continue reading.
LTRP Comment: While the Bible does speak of angels who are “ministering spirits” “sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation” (Hebrews 1:14), it also warns about Satan who is an “angel of light” and his demons who come as “ministers [angels] of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). But you will find no warnings or exhortings to “try [test] the spirits” (angels) (1 John 4:1) by Roma Downey or Debbie Macomber regarding their “angels.” Viewers and readers are expected to assume that all “angels” are good and from God.
In Warren B. Smith’s booklet Be Still and Know That You Are NOT God, he quotes Roma Downey from a 2018 statement she made:
God is everywhere, in everyone, in everything we do.—Roma Downey, 2018 (source; 1:40 minute mark)
Panentheism (the belief that God is in all things and all people) is the crux of New Age thinking and is the antithesis of the message that God gave us in His Word (i.e., that man is sinful, is separated from God, and is in need of a holy God for redemption which can only come through faith in Jesus Christ). To understand Roma Downey’s New Age affinities and how Christian leaders have repeatedly ignored this fact, please read the following articles:

I found the choir from shadow mountain by accident I’m so blessed by their music. When I listen to the music I think this must be a non-emergent church. Of course I looked it up David Jeremiah and there he us right in the middle of it all. It seems as though every church I check up on just to see if they’re involved in the emergent doctrine they comes up positive these days any suggestions?
I meant to say earlier, I was very troubled to see her highly lauded and promoted on the 700 Club. I don’t watch that program, I’m not sure how I saw that, but it confirmed my feelings about that program.
P.S. The movie was based on a book she wrote.
I have read a lot of Debbie Macomber’s novels, mostly those in book series. After seeing a Christmas movie about an “angel” in disguise, I read her first couple of “angel” books.
The first two were “okay”, reminded me of the angel in It’s a Wonderful Life. But the next one(s) were so troubling to me, I couldn’t finish them. I put them down and do not plan to read anymore of her “angel” books.
