As I pen these words, a conference is taking place this weekend that is further indication of the spiritual deception and the blurring of lines happening in the church today.
Some call this deception in the church a conspiracy. In our view, the deception should be called outright heresy and part of the Great Apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Will anyone wake up and smell the smoke? Apparently, no one is willing to say a word. Where is the discernment? Where are the pastors who should be warning?
“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand” (Ezekiel 33:6).
When I see the names of prominent Calvary Chapel pastors sharing the platform with those with a particular agenda and particular backgrounds, I am reminded of Calvary Chapel’s long-standing focus on teaching the Word, verse-by-verse and warning about the Last Days apostasy. By the looks of it though, have some chosen to become part of the deception rather than warning against it?
Are you familiar with these names: David Barton, Newt Gingrich, George Barna, Mike Huckabee? Do you know what Barna Group is? Do you know who David Barton is? What about Newt Gingrich? Do you know what role these names are playing? WHAT IS GOING ON?
Looking at the list of speakers for the Rediscovering God in America reminds me of a book I once read called Who’s Who and What’s What?. Check out Barna and Barton and see for yourself their backgrounds and the things they are doing, then check out the Jesuit plan to establish the kingdom.
Newt Gingrich is a Baptist-turned-Roman Catholic by his own admission, and he and Huckabee may each be running for President (or maybe a ticket together).
George Barna was trained at a Jesuit college. In his 2009 book, Master Leaders, he highlights and extols “30 Leadership Greats” such as New Age sympathizers Ken Blanchard, Laurie Beth Jones, Jon Gordon, emerging futurist Erwin McManus, and Rick Warren’s mentor Peter Drucker. For Barna to call these men and women “Leadership Greats” he must resonate with their teachings.
And let’s not forget Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Catholicism and Catholic convert, interfaith activist Tony Blair?
Why does not someone say something? Are the pastors not awake? Has Calvary Chapel lost its first love? (Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Revelation 2:4.) At least we can say for the church of Ephesus that they did not tolerate heresy and compromise (Revelation 2:2). What about other organizations that claim to be Bible believing? Are they all headed down the road to join with Rome?
Some pastors in the Calvary movement have had both David Barton and Glen Beck in their pulpits or showed them on video. Beck is a Mormon and is a New Age idea proponent, while Barton, now called by many “America’s Historian” and named in 2005 by Time magazine as one of America’s top 25 most influential evangelicals, has made claims that the American Founding Fathers were Christians (when in fact many of them embraced occult practices or ideas). While it is true that there were those who were committed Christians in the early days of America, there’s more to the story than meets the eye. Documentation shows that David Barton also has associations and ties with various dominionist groups (source).
There has been a plan by some, since the beginning of this country, to turn it into a playground for evil purposes. This plan has not gone away but is unfolding before our very eyes.
How far into compromise will pastors go to “re-establish” America as a Christian nation? Has that become more important to them than serving the Lord and preaching the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ WITHOUT COMPROMISE? If establishing the lie of this kingdom of God on earth is so important that the Gospel fades in comparison, what are they willing to do next – practice Eucharistic adoration? Maybe the pope will be invited to the next conference with Barna and team. The gap between the evangelical church and the Jesuit/papacy plan to “bring back to the Mother Church the lost brethren” is narrowing quickly!
For those who don’t know about the Jesuits, Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556) founded the Jesuits with a goal of bringing the separated brethren back to the Catholic Church. Today Ignatius is known also for his mystical experiences, now called The Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola. These are becoming increasingly popular within the evangelical spiritual formation movement. Ignatius and his band of ruthless men would do everything possible to accomplish their goal. Several centuries have passed. Now that we are in the twenty-first century, his plan is becoming a reality.
I never thought this would happen in my life-time, except that the Bible predicts it. This is very sad. Where is the leadership?
“Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand” (Ezekiel 34: 7-10a).
