Jer 23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy lying dreams, saith Jehovah, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I sent them not, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, saith Jehovah.
Jer. 23……. is full of Gods warnings against false teachers. Against those who falsely claim the Lord gave me a vision a dream a prophecy. They speak lies of their own hearts and minds.
At they same time they are NOT speaking the truths of God that they are commanded to speak.

Thank you for this! I love God’s Word, and the book of Jeremiah is very special to me (as are the Lamentations). There is so much insight there, from the first chapter on. I remember well the false prophet who confronted him, and how the Lord God proved that Jeremiah’s message WAS from Him, but the false prophet’s message was not.

Another thing that stands out (among many) is that Israel’s enemies treated him more kindly than did his own people! Truly amazing.

And I have to mention the fact that the Lord showed Jeremiah clearly that He knew him BEFORE he was in his mother’s womb. This to me is THE foundational pro-Life scripture (and I know there are others). Thank you again for this wonderful article.

Amen! All born again believer’s are to point the world to repentance (changing of mind). “Christians” don’t read the Bible anymore. They are reading gnostic books like ‘The book of Enoch’ written too late in history to be even considered truth, based on only a couple of verses in scripture out of context, and written by someone else, and books in the “Christian bookstore”. The Jewish people read Rabbinic Commentaries called the Mishnah (Jewish oral traditions, also known as oral Torah). And the Talmud which expands on the Mishnah) many added laws (made up) by Rabbi’s. The Jews see “Christianity” as the Roman Church, and I can’t imagine what they think of the “Christians who have surrounded our president who seem to be in the “7 Mountain” click. The gospel is for the Jew first! But they don’t give it to them. If we know this then we need to speak the word as lead by the Holy Spirit. He will tell us what to say. I feel for all the lost. When I met someone to give the gospel, the first thing I ask is are you a Christian? If they say yes, then I ask them what is the gospel? They don’t know what it is. It’s a shame! Blessings

  4. Mr. Oakland,

You said, “While more and more pressure is put on pastors to conform to a reinvented form of Christianity that no longer uses God’s infallible Word as the foundation of faith, from God’s perspective, nothing has changed.”

And that is the truth! Just today (3/29/2019), I received a postcard in the mail from a local Charismatic/Pentecostal church addressed to “our neighbors,” inviting my family to “Rediscover Church,” at their “worship center.”

I am reminded of this verse from: Proverbs 18:2 “A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.”

Needless to say, I am greatly disturbed by that minister who has been steadily attracting people to his church (which he owns) for several years now.

Thank you for a timely message. The war is heating up, and we need to sharpen our swords through reading and studying the Word of God, as we prayerfully listen to Him in obedience to His Holy Spirit.

May God be with you and all God’s people who love our LORD Jesus Christ in sincerity!

P.S. I hope you have been doing well… You are in my prayers and I thank you for yours!

An inspiring book “Studies In The Prophecy Of Jeremiah” by G. Campbell Morgan gave to me an excellent view of Jeremiah and his times. A wonderful addition to any library to further our understanding of those perilous days before the exile. In Josiah’s days a copy of His Word found in the Temple and carried into exile. How He cares for His people and His word!

We are each called to be a “Jeremiah.” Every believer is given opportunity to stand for the truth – whether with a family member or friend, or with the Board and Pastor of their church. Much of the wrong teaching delivered to the the church goes unopposed by Believers who know better but don’t stand boldly for the truth.

‘The warnings found in the Old and New Testaments have been set aside, and the sheep are following blindly.’ This is a sad truth with a caveat however; “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John‬ ‭10:27
In Ezekiel 34 the Lord God says that He judges between sheep and sheep….where are the good shepherds to seek them out? No, many pastors today feed off of the flock and with little or no discernment and lack of wisdom, the sheep follow the ‘cult of personality’; therefore, if God is judging between sheep and sheep is it not our responsibility to be watchmen on the wall and to keep our eyes fixed on the GOOD SHEPHERD? Indeed! How far has the congregation, the church in general fallen away from simple biblical Christ following? The mega church/church planting growth method of the Purpose Driven Church model has completely usurped the simple message of the gospel and gathering together to hear God’s word. Everything is man-centered…. just as scripture tells us, lovers of self.

“He knew it was the truth that would set sinners free. ”

What do you think about putting it this way?:
“He knew it was the truth that would make sinners free.”

    John 8:32 KJB
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    John 8:36 KJB
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

    Thank you.
