Hallelujah indeed as we wait for our Blessed Savior let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The Prince of Peace will be the only One to bring true peace to the world.

I have been shocked and grieved by what the gentiles have done to the Jews. It is far worse that so many twisted the word of God to excuse their actions. They have spoken falsely in Gods name. I cannot make myself believe anyone born of the Spirit could think, believe and act this way. Where they self deceived cultural Christians? Such hate for Jews does not come from the Holy spirit. These are deeds of the flesh not the Spirit.
I keep in mind that the ancient clergy kept the word of God out of the hands of the laity. The shepherds fed lies to the sheep.
There is was one glaring ommission in the history of the Inquisition. Islam invaded Spain and ruled it from 711-1492. Their attack on France backfired. It became the reconquista of Spain and the expulsion of the Caliphate. Pockets of remaining Muslims became terrorist. They practiced Taqiyya, (deceive the world) when arrested. Ridding Spain of Muslim terrorist was a major consideration for the expulsion of all heretics. Even so it is no excuse for their treatment of Jews.

Good article. I see the hatred for Jews and born again believer’s everywhere especially on so called Christian blogs, and conservative news outlets when reading the blogs, it’s normal to see in liberal media, but conservative so called. The Bible is clear, “Christ died for OUR sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4. For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. It ‘s the gospel that convicts the soul, not commentaries. We should tell them it’s the devil who wants you to reject it (Matthew 13), even through persecution from the Roman Catholic apostate church and other means. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! El Shaddai. Jesus is God

Thank you for this. It is very scary to see how one can believe in the Truth and still miss the mark, causing great harm and hurt. How evil is our heart and how gracious and merciful is our God!

I greatly appreciate the truth in this article. My one quibble is that there is a “Roman Catholic form” of Christianity. I cannot agree with this. I believe the Holy Bible shows that Roman Catholicism is a distortion of God’s Word.

Is the hostility mentioned in this article the reason why current Messianic Jews separate themselves in worship from the true Church of Jesus Christ? I have wondered if this might be their reasoning. I am reminded of the verse in Ephesians about this very thing, saying “Jesus is our Peace, who has abolished the enmity which was between them.”

When I was in college, there was no such separation. We loved and appreciated one another as children of God and worshipped together regularly and freely.

No, if we reject Jesus Christ, then we are not saved. Our salvation lies not with man. When we are born-again, we’ll understand the important significance of Israel and the Jewish people.

  8. If we reject the Jews, we reject the New Covenant of saved by grace. We’re then not saved. Hebrews 8:7-9; Jeremiah 31:31-33; Ezekiel 11:17-20; 36:24-28

The author states: “This brief history of Jewish suffering shows the terrible truth that most of it has been instigated by people who claimed to be Christians.” Instead of ‘claimed to be’ it should read. ‘claim to be’ for the hate for Jews is still very much alive in many ‘Christians.’ Jesus loves the Jews. They are God’s chosen people and God hasn’t cast them aside. We Gentiles who love Jesus do love the Jews. This is such a heart-stirring article. Thank you for posting it.

I am a Messianic Jew whose ancestors were taken to the R. Catholic Inquisition and perished in Spain. After reading the entire Bible I do not know how Christians can hate the Jewish people or not see that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were the root of Christianity. Some so-called Christians even believe the lies of Israel’s enemies. In the end, the entire Jewish remnant will accept their Jewish Messiah after the Tribulation. Hallelujah!
