The Way Things Are and What Is Coming

Another month has flown by. It’s hard to believe we are halfway through the year. I keep hearing the words of Jeremiah, “the harvest is passed, the summer is ended, and we are not saved” (Jeremiah 8:20). “The fields are white unto harvest . . . pray therefore to the Lord of the Harvest that He may send laborers into the field.” My heart is just shattered to see the absolute darkness and delusion of this world in this age. Oh, if only they could know what we know! If only they knew Him! We must tell them!

I remember a poignant moment in The Hiding Place, a dramatization of the true story of Corrie and Betsy ten Boom in the Ravensbrook concentration camp where Betsy died just before Corrie was released. A bitter woman asked how a God of love can allow such a horror as these camps. The sisters said they could not answer; then Betsy cried and said, “If only you could know His love!” She continued to bring Jesus into the death camp until the angels took her to Jesus. It reminds me that in an evil world where it seems the devil has full sway, he does not! Jesus’ love carries us, and He puts us in dark places to shine His light and rescue a lost people through His sacrifice and resurrection. We must continue to tell people the truth even in the greatest darkness.

I wrote about UFO/UAP “alien disclosure” last month and the upcoming movie Disclosure Day. Things have escalated since the movie was released. Steven Spielberg did an interview where he admitted that the movie could hurt the faith of people. Many churches unfortunately are filled with people who have never had a real encounter with Jesus. When this deluding counterfeit “alien” thing begins to manifest in an ever-increasing visceral way, many will buy the lie that these demonic creatures are “here to help us.” But for those of us who have known Jesus personally and are committed to the truth and His Word, we have nothing to fear, but we need to be vanguards of truth and EXPOSE these lies with the Word of God.

I keep going back to Peter’s words in the book of Acts when the Spirit was poured out and people were asking what was happening. He said, “This is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel . . .” and quoted the verse that in the last days God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28-29). We are in a time in prophetic history where, if we are in the midst of a thousand crises and the media is filling everyone with fear because it increases ratings, we need to STOP and back out and see the BIG picture – which we can only do if we are seated with Christ in heavenly places and getting His perspective. We will see that everything that is happening is the coming together and preparation for the final Matthew 24 scenario. And we can go to the Word and recognize that all we are seeing has already been written and in prophecy – wars, pestilences, the spirit of lawlessness, and Israel still the center and the clock of the prophetic calendar.

Everyone hates Israel? The Scriptures say Israel will become a stone of stumbling to all the nations. Covid? Pestilences. Sexual debauchery and identity becoming a weapon against believers? Already clearly written of in Romans 1 and Jude. “This is that which was written . . .”

Do you see? The way to not panic is to know what God already said, and know that He has it all under control! The way to lead unbelievers to Christ is to show them the truth of the Scriptures that told us what was going to happen, and that all we see now are the things and events that are leading to Jesus’ return. In the flesh, it is a fearful time, and Jesus said men’s hearts would fail them from fear – but for believers, it is also a time of great opportunity to reach the lost. Let’s not miss the moment!
