Thank you for sharing truth. There is no other gospel but Jesus Christ and Him crucified for the remission of sin! Hallelujah

    Hi,
What I find a lot is that folks have a false sense of ‘being divisive.’ Take a church that is in apostasy. By speaking out there and preaching the truth of the Bible in any capacity, you are not being divisive, but rather unifying the body around truth. Those who enter that truth will join you, those who won’t, as well as those preaching error, are the ones being divisive because they are dividing from the truth and from those in it. Rom. 16; 17-18 says those preaching error are the ones causing division, not those preaching truth. Now there is a division between truth and error, as there should be. Christ said that He came to divide (Matt. 10; 34…). That is the whole point, a line is drawn for sure. We are separated from the fallen world, false doctrine, sin, false religion, the lost, etc. It is two divided kingdoms; satan’s, and God’s. There is no true unity unless it is unity around truth. Simultaneously, when in truth, we will be divided from error and from those in error, as we should be. Those in error have their own false unity, but it is at the expense of truth and in rebellion against God and has nothing to do with Him or pleasing Him. You can never preach too much truth. If a church as locked you out over it, they have made their choice for deception, just move on to others who may listen. The devil conjures up all these slanderous things against us to discourage us from sharing the truth and rescuing the deceived from his deceptions.

This was emailed to me after this pastor read this aritlce:

Great article! I’ve really been feeling challenged lately to preach on the church’s declining influence on our society. That perhaps for various reasons we’ve become too polite when it comes to pushing back against sin, often even within gatherings that claim to be Christian. This article was further motivation to speak truth even when it is unpopular. –Pastor Larry

  4. Paul called out Peter loudly and publicly in Galatians 2:11-21 when Peter was in error by implying that parts of the Jewish ceremonial law were still in effect. He did it publicly because the error was public, and we know that Peter received it with grace because many years later Peter refers to Paul as his beloved brother( 2 Peter 3:15).
When dealing with heresy Paul named names throughout his epistles. He taught us to follow him as he followed Christ by marking, rebuking and admonishing false teachers. Paul cared about the flock, not the wolf.
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭16:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”
    ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  5. Before we left our church (because of Calvinism), we sent a long letter to all the elders telling them our concerns with Calvinism and why we think it’s unbiblical. And if anyone asked us, we made sure to clearly tell them why we were leaving: Because of the pastor’s unbiblical Calvinist theology and manipulative tactics to push it on others. If we had just left quietly without speaking up, we would feel responsible for not doing our part to try to stop that church’s slide into Calvinism. We did what we could to sound the alarm, but when no one listened or cared (they support the pastor), we had to shake the dust off our sandals and leave. Sometimes my husband still daydreams about standing out front of the church, handing out pamphlets to warn people about Calvinism (the pastor does well in hiding it and in indoctrinating people slowly). It’s difficult sometimes to know how much to push back, to know when it’s appropriate and when it’s being divisive. Thanks for this article. Sometimes we Christians are more concerned with not being divisive, not making waves, then we are with making sure sound doctrine is being taught. We too often (about many issues) compromise Truth to not offend others. And it’s evident in the sorry condition of churches nowadays.

Relating to following thoughts, is not our faith in Christ valued to be worthy of our defense?

Lately, I’ve been thinking on there’s a lot packed in Heb 10… “The just shall live by faith”. Do I believe I’ve been made just, acceptable to God, by no one that can, but Him, Christ Jesus our Justifier Redeemer and High Priest? To believe so, having confidence in, is pleasing to the Father because He accepts nothing less than the Life of His Son… This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Matt 3:17).

Is this the beginning of Wisdom… realizing no man can accomplish leading to the fear of, reverence for, the one who can… the Lord—the beginning of loving righteousness while hating it’s enemy… trust in the flesh of man? Proverbs 29 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

More relatable today, in context of the tyranny?

Lighthouse Trails, you are truly a voice calling in the Wilderness of apostasy and compromise. Let none deter or discourage you from your work. You have helped me greatly in exposing error and false teaching that attempts to cloak itself under the banner of Christ. Grace AND Truth came by Jesus Christ. Grace WITHOUT TRUTH is not the saving Grace of Christ! Thank you for standing for TRUTH!
