Who owns Women of Faith? Founded by Christian 12 Step advocate and author Steve Arterburn, Women of Faith was purchased by Thomas Nelson Publishers in 2000.
Many of the books promoted by Women of Faith are, logically enough, published by Thomas Nelson. Incredibly, one author who has a number of books for sale in the Women of Faith bookstore is apostate Brian McLaren. In describing McLaren’s The Secret Message of Jesus, we are informed:
“When Brian McLaren began offering an alternative vision of Christian faith and life in books such as A New Kind of Christianand A Generous Orthodoxy, he ignited a firestorm of praise and condemnation that continues to spread across the religious landscape. To some religious conservatives, McLaren is a dangerous rebel without a doctrinally-correct cause. Some fundamentalist websites have even claimed he’s in league with the devil and have consigned him to flames.” [1]
“But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!” (Luke 12:5)
As noted in the article, Women of Faith Spread The Message, this organization is already exposing thousands of women, many of them new believers, to Eugene Peterson’s deceptive paraphrase,The Message. Click here to continue reading.
