{"id":12179,"date":"2013-07-09T15:31:52","date_gmt":"2013-07-09T19:31:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com\/blog\/?p=12179"},"modified":"2026-07-19T21:07:22","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T04:07:22","slug":"letter-to-the-editor-new-age-proselytizers-coming-into-colorado-neighborhood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com\/blog\/letter-to-the-editor-new-age-proselytizers-coming-into-colorado-neighborhood\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter to the Editor: New Age Proselytizers Coming Into Colorado Neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dear Lighthouse Trails:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is with pure joy that I thank you all for your ministry!\u00a0 I was moved to send your article on Christian colleges and seminaries that promote Spiritual Formation to a friend whose daughter will be attending one of the schools on the list (along with my own daughter).\u00a0\u00a0 I also offered her the two books I bought from you several years ago (<em>Faith Undone<\/em> and <em>A Time of Departing<\/em>) to read if she wanted more information on the subject.\u00a0 I received a reply from her today and to my jubilation, she thanked me and said she also gets your newsletter and has been equipping her kids too with the information that you reveal in your blog.\u00a0 Praise God!\u00a0 My prayers continue for this ministry and those that contribute to it \u2013 it truly is equipping the saints.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>BTW \u2013 I received on my doorstep yesterday a pamphlet from Maum Meditation.\u00a0 I\u2019m stunned by the information inside it.\u00a0 No longer do we have just JW\u2019s and Mormons going door to door, but now we have New Age proselytizers coming into our [Colorado]-area neighborhood.\u00a0 The front cover of the pamphlet enticingly reads:\u00a0 \u201cWhere does man go when he dies?\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0The inside cover says:\u00a0 Maum Meditation is throwing away the false mind.\u00a0\u00a0 It goes on to contend there is a false world and a true world.\u00a0 Page 1 quotes:\u00a0 \u201cAll religious scriptures were seen and spoken from the True world.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cMaum Meditation teaches the method of destroying the false world, being reborn in the True world, and living eternally in the True world.\u00a0 The one who is born in the True world which is human completion while living will live forever.\u00a0 The one who lives in the false world just dies and that\u2019s it.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cThe universe minus human minus stars, sun, moon, and earth equals original universe equals heaven.\u201d\u00a0 The back of the pamphlet has a satisfaction survey from those who practice with all percentages above 93% favorable \u2013 as well as personal testimonies.\u00a0 The back page says \u201cStop living in this land, go to the everlasting world of happiness, live forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The times are getting darker and darker in America, and it\u2019s coming up close and personal.\u00a0 Thank you again for raising a shout and warning the remnant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe that hath ears to hear, let him hear.\u201d\u00a0 Matthew 11:15<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<b>In Christ, MK<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lighthouse Trails: It is&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":114,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[90,475,95,45],"tags":[21,50,61,72,91,1183],"class_list":["post-12179","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-the-role-of-meditation","category-letters-to-the-editor","category-the-new-age-movement","category-signs-of-the-times","tag-new-age","tag-deception","tag-spiritual-deception","tag-christian-colleges","tag-meditation","tag-colorado","wpcat-90-id","wpcat-475-id","wpcat-95-id","wpcat-45-id"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.4 (Yoast SEO v28.4) -
