A Washington State judge is paying a political price for his traditional view on marriage in a state where same-sex \u201cmarriage\u201d is legal.<\/p>\n

Last year, Thurston County Superior Court Judge Gary Tabor stated that he did not want to perform same-gender weddings. That led to a complaint before the Washington Judicial Conduct Commission.<\/p>\n

Joseph Backholm, who heads the Family Policy Institute of Washington, reports the judge was punished.<\/p>\n

Judge Gary Tabor \u201cThis is just another example of how the Left on the marriage issue is completely intolerant of people who don’t think like them,\u201d says Backholm, suggesting that the \u201cmarketplace in the world\u201d is big enough for people to find someone who is comfortable performing a ceremony.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut they have no intention of making room in the public square for people who don’t agree with them,\u201d Backholm says of the Left.<\/p>\n
