Proposed rules would clamp down on grassroots activism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LTRP Note: The following story is related to a 2013 news story titled &#8220;<a title=\"Permanent Link to Pro-Life, Christian Groups Come Forward as Being Unlawfully Targeted By IRS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com\/blog\/?p=11670\" rel=\"bookmark\">Pro-Life, Christian Groups Come Forward as Being Unlawfully Targeted By IRS.&#8221; <\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chad Groening<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> OneNewsNow.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A pro-family organization is concerned that changes proposed by the Internal Revenue Service would suppress the ability of conservative organizations to communicate with the public about public policy matters.<\/p>\n<p>In November the IRS announced new rules that would give it the authority to restrict voter guides, legislative scorecards, get-out-the-vote campaigns and even the voter registration activities of non-profit groups.
