Where is Kay Arthur’s Precepts International going with this theme of “Being Still and Knowing God” that’s currently on their website? We know that the ministry has not shown any interest in understanding the contemplative prayer movement, and we know that Kay Arthur’s assistant told us a number of years ago that while we could send a copy of A Time of Departing<\/em>, Kay would probably not have time to read it. We hope this advertisement on “being still” is not indicative that Precepts is heading in the contemplative direction. Given that Kay has shared the platform many times with contemplative advocate Beth Moore, we realize some of this spirituality may have rubbed off on her. Hopefully, many of her followers will call Precepts and urge them to bring themselves up to speed on the contemplative issue. Otherwise, we fear that countless numbers of women who turn to the Precepts Bible studies will be led down a very dangerous path.<\/p>\n\n\n
