Ray Yungen, Lighthouse Trails special author and supporter, died\u00a0October 16, 2016 much to the sadness of his many Lighthouse Trails friends and\u00a0readers.\u00a0 And although I never met Ray, his writings and warnings impacted my life many times over!<\/p>\n

Here are a few of the things I remember from his\u00a0book: A Time of\u00a0Departing.<\/em><\/p>\n

I remember reading that book,\u00a0now\u00a0well-marked, and well-worn, while trying to wrap my mind round all of its new ideas, and new names I was encountering.<\/p>\n

I remember\u00a0beginning to understand\u00a0the\u00a0scope of the New Age, and the Emergent Church\u00a0and how it had impacted so many churches and denominations.\u00a0 I began to be able to use this new found information to “red flag” words, teachings, and persons that Ray had written about.<\/p>\n

I remember Ray’s use of key scripture at every turn (highlighted in small gray boxes) to substantiate his findings.<\/p>\n

I remember Ray’s writing style as never nasty nor mean, but\u00a0sincere and truthful pleading with the reader to be aware of the movements that had crept into the churches.<\/p>\n

I remember wanting to share the book with others\u00a0touting its chapters, glossary of terms, list of questions,\u00a0list of\u00a0past Christian mystics,\u00a0endnotes, and\u00a0index.<\/p>\n

I remember being amazed at the degree\u00a0of, and depth of Ray’s\u00a0documentation with his twenty-four\u00a0\u00a0 end note pages.\u00a0 Truly Ray’s work was never just hear say or conjecture, but based on solid
