We\u2019re all on the edge after months of lockdowns, shutdowns, quarantines, economic instability, school closures, and the surreal nature of social distancing. . . . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wednesday, the United States topped\u00a03 million cases\u00a0of coronavirus. Also on Wednesday came\u00a0an article\u00a0from<em> The New York Times<\/em> titled \u201cChurches Were Eager to Reopen. Now They Are a Major Source of Coronavirus Cases.\u201d . . . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the article\u00a0paints a different picture\u00a0in the actual numbers: \u201cMore than 650 coronavirus cases have been linked to nearly 40 churches and religious events across the United States since the beginning of the pandemic.\u201d I\u2019m no epidemiologist, but I don\u2019t need to be, because simple math shows that 650 out of 3,000,000 cases across our nation means 0.0216 percent of them trace back to churches.
