EthicsDaily is a news service of the Nashville-based Baptist Center for Ethics.<\/p>\n<p>LifeWay was informed about the books and took prompt action to remove them, according to Mark Scott, vice president of the Christian stores division of LifeWay.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We checked [the report] out immediately and found that, in fact, several titles did appear on our third-party distributor&#8217;s list. We were unaware of these and removed the titles immediately,&#8221; Scott said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p>Scott also said LifeWay is &#8220;enhancing its efforts to ensure that questionable books are filtered out of a massive list of titles available online through its third-party distributor.&#8221;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20071026110702\/http:\/\/www.abpnews.com\/1662.article\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">Click here to read this entire article.<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note: While it is commendable that LifeWay is making serious efforts to improve the content of their online bookstore, there are still countless books on the LifeWay bookstore website that promote contemplative spirituality, some of which are blatantly promoting the New Age.
