upheld a West Virginia law requiring student athletes to compete with other members of their biological sex, dealing a blow to both the transgender movement and the Biden administration, which had supported the lawsuit challenging the statute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Southern District of West Virginia Judge Joseph Goodwin&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250414191125\/https:\/\/adfmedialegalfiles.blob.core.windows.net\/files\/WVDOEdecision.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ruled<\/a>&nbsp;Thursday that the Mountain State\u2019s \u201cSave Women\u2019s Sports Act\u201d (H.B. 3293), which requires athletic teams \u201csponsored by any public secondary school or a state institution of higher education\u201d that are designated as female-only to deny entry to biological males, does not violate either the 14th Amendment or Title IX of the Education Amendments
