Page, President emeritus, Southern Baptist Convention, emergent leader Jim Wallis (<em>Sojourners<\/em>), and Richard Stearns, President, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com\/newsletters\/2006\/newsletter051706.htm#article1\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">World Vision<\/span><\/strong><\/a> are included in <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090211065554\/http:\/\/www.usnews.com:80\/blogs\/god-and-country\/2009\/2\/5\/obama-names-members-of-new-faith-advisory-council.html?s_cid=rss:god-and-country:obama-names-members-of-new-faith-advisory-council\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">President&#8217;s list for &#8220;faith-based&#8221; council<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. Both World Vision and Jim Wallis are supporters of Brian McLaren, one of the main teachers in the emerging church movement and also an advisor to President Obama.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<em>Dallas Morning News<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with his renewal of the White House faith-based initiative, President Barack Obama yesterday appointed an interfaith group of clergy members, religion scholars, leaders of service organizations and others to a new President&#8217;s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the advisory council, according to the executive order establishing it, is to:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>bring together leaders and experts in fields related to the work of faith-based and neighborhood organizations in order to: identify best practices and successful modes of delivering social services;
