Lighthouse Trails believes that contemplative spirituality has the same basic elements, with regard to meditation, as eastern religions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>by the International Tibet Independence Movement, IUPUI Campus Community Life, and St. Lukes United Methodist Church<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in South India will be visiting Indianapolis from April 25th through May 3rd. They will be creating the Sacred Sand Medicine Mandala, representing the healing aspect of the Buddha. They will also perform two Cultural Pageant Programs, which provide a sampling of Sacred Music and Dance, a slide show, and a debate demonstration. The Monks are available for other public and private programs. See the website www.gomang.org for details of potential offerings for such private or public programs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Mandala will be constructed at St. Lukes Methodist Church (100 W. 86th St., Indianapolis) beginning after the 11 am. service on Sunday April 26th until 4:30 pm.
