Who Really Killed Jesus? (A word to those who hate the Jews) <\/strong><\/a>by Tony Pearce (Light for the Last Days)<\/strong>
\nSadly for millions of Jewish people the idea that Jesus could be the one to bring peace and reconciliation seems ridiculous and offensive. Nikki used to visit a Jewish lady who was born around the beginning of the 20th century and brought up in a small town in Poland. Her first memory of the name of Jesus was when her parents told her to hide in a cupboard in their home because it was \u2018Good Friday\u2019 and on that day the Roman Catholics would come out of their church services into the Jewish quarter to throw stones at the Jews \u2018to avenge the death of Jesus.\u2019 Not surprisingly it was hard for her to see Jesus as anyone who had an answer to anything. As far as she was concerned Jesus was \u2018someone who hated us and is responsible for our misery.\u2019<\/p>\n

A Tale Of Two Kingdoms <\/strong><\/a>by Sandy Simpson (Deception in the Church)
\n<\/strong>Be careful of those who teach about a \u201ckingdom\u201d that is not the same as what the Bible teaches. There are two kingdoms being taught in many churches today. Teaching about one of the kingdoms is on the decline while the other is being promoted all over the place. I am warning Christians that they need to check out who is using the word \u201ckingdom,” \u00a0the books they have been reading and recommend on building \u201cthe kingdom,” the people they have been hanging out with at conferences, and what they mean by \u201cthe kingdom.”<\/p>\n

\nIn November 2008, the Josephson Institute Center for Youth Ethics published the results of their 2008 national survey of American teenagers with nearly 30,000 U.S. high school students surveyed.[1] Thirty percent admitted to stealing from a store in the past year. Twenty-three percent admitted to stealing from a parent. Twenty percent admitted to stealing from a friend. Forty-two percent admitted they had lied to save money. Eighty-three percent admitted they had lied to a parent about something significant. Twenty-six percent admitted that they had lied on at least one question on the survey.<\/p>\n

It is not necessary to present another theological or philosophical debate to explain what, and why, these things happen, or to try and justify God; John Piper has done that; and Brian McLaren\u2019s philanthropic love has cornered the market on empathy. With those bases covered the question of \u201cwhy?\u201d still remains, and will not go away. After the prayers are over, and the aid exhausted, the mothers, fathers, and children, who have lost so much, return to their homes, and keep asking, \u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe Vatican\u2019s Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace released a document, October 24, 2011, titled Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary System in the Context of a Global Public Authority. . . This latest offering from the Vatican claims that, \u201cevery individual and every community shares in and is responsible for promoting the common good.\u201d This nebulous phrase leads to a further reflection; the document asks \u201cwhether the human family has adequate means at its disposal to achieve the global common good.\u201d<\/p>\n
