Reason for Persecution: The Cross separates us from the world<\/strong><\/p>\n

John 15:18-21<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIf the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you… If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you… because they do not know Him who sent Me.”<\/p>\n

John 16:1-4<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThese things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues [today it might be from churches]; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them.”<\/p>\n

John 17:14-18<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.”<\/p>\n
