Ray Yungen and Warren Smith in Central California<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking on the spiritual deception in the church today
\nSunday, July 26, Reedley, California<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reedley, CA<\/strong> – What started out as plans for a small living room discussion with a handful of people has turned into a scheduled five hour meeting in a farm packing warehouse in central California this coming Sunday afternoon (July 26th). Authors Warren Smith<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and Ray Yungen<\/span><\/strong><\/a> have been invited to speak about the spiritual deception that has entered the church today.<\/p>\n

Warren Smith, a former New Age follower will give his testimony and discuss topics such as The Shack, the new spirituality, Purpose Driven, the “new science,” and the New Age. Ray Yungen, a research analyst for over 25 years will talk about contemplative spirituality, interspirituality, the emerging church, mysticism, and spiritual formation.<\/p>\n

The meeting will take place in Reedley, California on Sunday, July 26th. The first session will be held from 4-6pm with a one hour potluck dinner break at 6pm, wrapping up with a two hour “Question and Answer” session from 7-9pm.<\/p>\n

There will be no charge for this meeting, but a love offering may be taken.<\/p>\n

Bob Ayanian of Truebador Music will be joining Yungen and Smith and will play some of his Americana gospel folk music. You may hear clips of Bob’s music on the Lighthouse Trails website<\/span><\/strong>. Bob is a former economics professor who started writing music after he came to the Lord in 1999. If you are going to be in the central California area Sunday afternoon, we hope you will be able to come out and listen to these three men.<\/p>\n

We also would like to issue a special invitation to Fresno Pacific University<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary<\/span><\/strong><\/a> students. Both schools are very influenced by the contemplative\/emerging camp.<\/p>\n
