They also note that many other religious minority Iranians face discrimination and mistreatment for their beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>Nadarkhani, in his early 30s, walked free after almost three years\u00a0 behind bars, following a six-hour court appearance Saturday ended with\u00a0 his acquittal on apostasy charges, according to reports reaching\u00a0 organizations that have publicized his plight, including the American\u00a0 Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) and Christian Solidarity Worldwide\u00a0 (CSW).<\/p>\n<p>CSW cited sources as saying that Nadarkhani was found guilty of an\u00a0 alternative offense, evangelizing Muslims, and given a three-year\u00a0 sentence \u2013 but with that time already having been served, he was\u00a0 released.<\/p>\n<p>Jason DeMars of Present Truth Ministries, who has sources close to\u00a0 the case, said that Nadarkhani has been reunited with his family, and\u00a0 quoted him as saying, \u201cThank you to everyone that has supported me with\u00a0 your prayers.\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/cnsnews.com\/news\/article\/iranian-pastor-freed-death-row-worries-persist-about-his-safety\" target=\"_blank\">Click here <\/a>to continue reading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Patrick Goodenough CNS News&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[108,385,191],"tags":[137,2940,388,1180,1460,42],"class_list":["post-9880","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-persecution-defending-the-faith","category-freedom-signs-of-the-times","category-on-christian-faith","tag-martyrs-of-the-faith","tag-islam","tag-martyrs","tag-iran","tag-youcef-nadarkhani","tag-persecution","wpcat-108-id","wpcat-385-id","wpcat-191-id"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.4 (Yoast SEO v28.4) -
