Shalom in Messiah

When people speak of Zionism, it generally is a polarizing conversation between Zionists and anti-Zionists. Today more than ever, the validity of Zionism is a critical subject. I have covered the history of Zionism before (here and here.) The Bible is the best place to start if we care to understand Zionism as defined by God’s word in the Torah and the Prophets. . . . .

In all fairness, Zionism can be defined beyond the religious and biblical boundaries because it also has political and cultural aspects to it. The terms “Zionism” and “Zionist” were coined in 1890 by Jewish activist Nathan Birnbaum (1864-1937), who also played an essential part in the first Zionist Congress held in 1897. The word Zion comes from the Hebrew tzion, a reference to Jerusalem and often, by extension, to the Land of Israel itself (first mentioned in II Samuel 5:7.) Click here to continue reading.

  1. Everything that Steven Strickland said is accurate and informative.
This is where Israel is today- as prophesied

  2. Super good article highlighting the tsunami trend towards Zechariah 14:2, “For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle…” Yes, the Jews are back in the land “in unbelief” and many will suffer for it “two parts therein shall be cut off and die” (Zechariah 13:8), but a “remnant” (Isaiah 1:9) will go through the “fire” and be “refined as silver” (Zechariah 13:9 and Malachi 3:3) and will “look on Him (Jesus) whom they (the nation of their forefathers) have pierced…” and come to belief, (Zechariah 12:10). What a time to be alive in.

  3. This started with being asked… do you see a relationship with Jesus Christ as being the most important?

    I answered… no.

I qualified my response—to stay faithful to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel) to the end of my days… is…

With the rise of anti-Semitism… I need to remember why I want to stay faithful to Jesus Christ. https://hopeishereblog.wordpress.com/whew-the-few/
