“Transgenderism and Tragedy”
By Linda Harvey
Mission America

The body count is growing– murders at the hands of gender pretenders. Are these confused people disproportionately prone to violence? Unless they receive help to walk away from these delusions, the clear answer is yes.

An article in 2024 in The Epoch Times had this headline: “Concerns Grow Over Links Between Transgenderism and Violence.” The article reviewed the little-publicized fact that some recent mass murders were committed by people who identified as the opposite sex with a history of a “volatile cocktail of mental health issues and body-altering chemicals.”

Robert, aka Robin, Westman had regrets about his identity as a woman. But not enough to backtrack from his confused sexuality and obvious mental health issues and possibly demon possession, before planning a mass murder of children at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on August 27. Two children died and 17 more people, mostly children, were injured.

Westman was previously a student at the school. This has many similarities to the Nashville Covenant School shooting in 2023. Click here to continue reading.

“Hamas ‘death culture’ beyond comprehension, says founder’s son”

Hamas’s embrace of “death culture” is beyond comprehension for much of the world, Mosab Hassan Yousef, the eldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, the founder of the terrorist group, told JNS on Tuesday.

Yousef spoke at a closed-door briefing hosted in Tel Aviv by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs (JCFA), titled “Exposing and Expelling Hamas – The Ideology Behind October 7 and Hostage Warfare.”

The event featured Yousef alongside Luis Har, a former Hamas captive rescued in an Israel Defense Forces operation in February 2024, and JCFA President Dan Diker. The discussion was moderated by JCFA Director of Content and podcast host Sarah Martinez-Amir.

“It is not just the West, it’s also the East. It is beyond understanding that some people are willing to sacrifice human life for political gains, or worse for financial gains. I am a living example of this. My father had to choose between his eldest son and the cause and he chose the cause,” said Yousef. Click here to continue reading.

Tens of thousands of people marched through London on Sunday at a demonstration organized by the Campaign Against Antisemitism group amid rising antisemitism levels in the country.

Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) thanked the participants, but noted that the ruling Labour party had not sent an official representative as other parties had, calling it a “scandalous absence.”  . . .

Lance Forman, a former European Parliament member from the United Kingdom who attended the march, wrote on X: “Never Again Is Now,” adding that the Hamas massacres of Oct. 7, 2023 were “the biggest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.” The rally sends “a message that British people stand with Israel and Britain’s Jewish community. Jew hate will not be tolerated!” Click here to continue reading.

Discernment Ministries Not Needed? Would the Apostle Paul Agree?
By the Editors at Lighthouse Trails

We once were alerted to an online article, written by a pastor who said that the church does not need “discernment ministries” anymore. While the pastor’s comments that such ministries are making great money by doing this kind of work were erroneous, it was the pastor’s rationale and conclusions about discernment ministries as a whole that were most troubling. His rationale was that discernment ministries should not be criticizing and challenging leaders and teachers within the church (but rather outside the church; e.g., cults, Mormonism); his conclusion was that the church does not need discernment ministries and people should stop listening to them. He lumped all discernment ministries together, suggesting that they are all jealous of each other and spend a lot of time fighting amongst themselves. (By this reasoning—that discernment ministries are invalidated because of fighting and jealousy—then there also should be no marriages, families, churches, organizations, or virtually any human institution because institutions are made up of sinful humans who do at times fight and struggle between each other.) He suggested that many of these discernment people will end up dying early anyway because of the high level of stress involved. Needless to say, we found such an article very sad because we knew there would be people who would read it and would be persuaded by the pastor’s words to stop listening to discernment ministries (potentially leading to the greater harm of stopping being discerning).

There is one thing true in what this pastor stated, and that is that there can be quite a bit of stress involved with discernment. But, again, his rationale is faulty. It would suggest that since being discerning (or having a discernment ministry) is stressful, it must be wrong to do so. But if we look at the lives of the apostles, the Old Testament prophets, and many martyrs who have lost their lives over the last 2000 years for standing for truth, no doubt, their lives were stressed and difficult. To speak the truth is not easy, and to speak the truth within the church is downright tough. Few knew this more than the apostle Paul:

Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. (2 Corinthians 11: 25-27)

illustration: The Beheading of Paul

Even though Paul determined to put his trust in the Lord and serve Him only, what he went through sounds pretty stressful. Why was he willing to go through those sufferings and persecutions? Because he had full confidence that he was called to warn and to preach for the edifying and exhorting of the body of Christ:

[I]f ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;  who now rejoice in my sufferings for you . . . warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. (Colossians 1: 23-24, 28-29; emphasis added)

At Lighthouse Trails, we by no means claim to be of the caliber of the apostle Paul. Nor do we want to be looked upon as such. We are just one part of the body of Christ, working diligently in a work we believe God has called us to do. We do not claim to be anything special, but we do claim that God in His wisdom has a place in the body for such a ministry as ours (Paul addressed this in 1 Corinthians 12; vs 21:  “And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you”).

We know there are some who name themselves among “discernment ministries” who are guilty of not exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit when writing and reporting. They are at times vitriolic, unkind, practice mean name calling, and go after a figure’s personal effect rather than staying focused on the teachings, doctrines, beliefs, and promotions (and actions when they are harming others). It has been a criteria of Lighthouse Trails from our beginning that any author or writer we represent by publishing his or her works is allowing the fruits of the Spirit (e.g., love, gentleness, goodness, meekness, etc., Galatians 5:22-23) to be prevalent in his or her work.

Scripture says that as the days on this Earth grow darker and darker, spiritually speaking, more and more proclaiming Christians will turn away from the truth of God’s Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ (e.g., “some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils,” 1 Timothy 4:1). Lighthouse Trails editors and authors are determined to continue in the work in which we have been called in spite of the fact that we are often falsely accused, unjustly discredited, and misjudged. Whether the Lord takes us home early or allows us to live long lives, it is our prayer that we will endure faithfully until the end. Perhaps, in time, people will stop listening to discernment ministries altogether. If and when that day comes, we pray there will be enough pastors and churches who are speaking the truth and warning “night and day.” In the following passage by Paul, we can see that his heart was for the building up of the body of Christ, no matter the cost to him. May we all, as believers in Jesus Christ, strive to have this same attitude:

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: so being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.  Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: as ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, that ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:7-12, emphasis added)

CONCLUSION

The following is a list of discernment ministries that Lighthouse Trails has come to know and look to over the past twenty-plus years; they are ones that meet the biblical criteria described above. Though these particular ministries may not agree with each other on every aspect, we have seen no greed, worldly ambition, jealousy, mean spiritedness, or dishonesty in these ministries. While they, like Lighthouse Trails, do not claim to be perfect or infallible, they always point readers back to the Word of God and uphold the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Is there a need for discernment ministries in today’s church? We believe the answer to that question is a resounding “yes.” And we believe the apostle Paul would agree.

When a Young Girl in a Christian College Meets a Mystic and Is Introduced to Lectio Divina
LTRP Note: Soon, this fall, thousands of young people across North America will be heading to Christian college or university, and unbeknownst to their parents, many of these young people will be put into harm’s way. The following is an excerpt from Carolyn A. Greene’s novel (based on true stories), Castles in the Sand, the Lighthouse Trails novel that addresses the contemplative prayer (Spiritual Formation) movement. In this excerpt, the young Christian Teresa [Tessa], now attending a Christian college, is in her dorm room, thinking about her new spiritual director, Ms. Jasmine, who has promised to teach her students how to enter the “inner life” just like the mystics of the past. For Tessa, a lonely foster girl who lost her parents years earlier in a tragic accident, this talk of a better, more fulfilling life was just what she was looking for.

By Carolyn A. Greene
The school’s spiritual formation professor had been responsible for bringing Ms. Jasmine to Flat Plains Bible College as their new spiritual director. Tessa was immediately drawn to her. Ms. Jasmine was so down to earth. . . . Tessa admired her from the very beginning.

Tessa’s mind turned to Ms. Jasmine’s promise to soon introduce them to the inner life. Although Tessa felt guarded about anything that came close to her inner life, she was drawn to Ms. Jasmine . . . .

Ms. Jasmine had placed colorful tapestry cushions in a circle at the front of the lecture hall, and fifteen minutes into her talk the students were encouraged to take one and seek out a quiet place of solitude anywhere on the campus. Once they had found a cozy spot, they were to use the outline they’d been given to practice a listening exercise called lectio divina, a “divine reading” that would make them feel closer to Jesus.

“Come back in half an hour,” Ms Jasmine had told them, smiling as they filed by to pick up their cushions….

The listening exercise they were to do seemed simple enough. After choosing a Scripture passage, they were instructed to read it slowly a number of times and wait for a word to “come alive” to them. Then they were to take that single word, close their eyes and repeat it for several minutes. Ms. Jasmine’s had read the outline ahead of time to the class. Her voice had a soothing, relaxing effect:

Sit with your back straight in a comfortable position.
Notice first the faraway sounds that you can hear.
Next, allow yourself to become aware of sounds that are nearer.
Then listen closely to your own heartbeat; this is your very own rhythm of life.
As you shut out these sounds, you will hear the sound of silence within yourself.
Listen like this for several minutes . . .
Write down what you hear God saying to you.
Remember, he is all around you and in you.

Tessa had found her own quiet spot on a bench in the courtyard, where yellow and red leaves drifted gently to the ground from the tree above. It had seemed weird at first, and Tessa wasn’t altogether sure about it. But she read Psalm 15, and soon the word “truth” stood out to her. She straightened her back, closed her eyes, and repeated the word for at least five minutes. It was awkward this first time, because she kept looking down at Ms. Jasmine’s instructions, wanting to get it just right. At one point, she thought she had actually heard a voice speak to her. Ms. Jasmine had told them to imagine themselves having a conversation with Christ. “Don’t be afraid to listen,” were the words she thought she heard, although it was probably just the wind in the trees.

Why not try it again, Tessa thought now, as she lay wide awake in the dark. She put her head under her favorite flannel-covered pillow to shut out [her roommate] Katy’s snoring, turned on her LED book light under the blanket, and reread a page in what was now her favorite book, Selections from the Interior Castle, by Teresa of Avila of Spain. Even the picture on the cover had come alive in her imagination. It was a painting of an ancient castle with a high tower on a green hilltop. Leading up to the castle’s stone archways were winding dirt roads that crossed over stone bridges. Tessa’s imagination took her back to the storybook her mom often read to her when she was a little girl. Hesitantly, but with anticipation, she opened her new book to the page she had dog-eared earlier and began to read:

One kind of rapture is that in which the soul, even though not in prayer, is touched by some word it remembers or hears about God. It seems that His Majesty from the interior of the soul makes the spark we mentioned increase, for He is moved with compassion in seeing the soul suffer so long a time from its desire.

So beautifully written, thought Tessa. She read it over several times. Now that was beautiful literature, the kind she would like to read in the solitude of a beautiful meadow in a deep, sheltered valley. It was perfect. The word that jumped out at her was “spark.” St. Teresa and Ms. Jasmine both talked about the spark within. Ever since her parents died in the crash, Tessa felt as if her own spark had been extinguished. Perhaps she would soon be able to feel the spark come to life again if she could practice being silent like this more often. When she closed her eyes, she could almost see a tiny light growing brighter in the darkness, like a light at the end of a long tunnel. Then again, maybe it was just the lingering glare from her book light. For a moment, she tried to focus on the light. Finally, Tessa quietly turned off the light, laid Gran’s bookmark between the pages where she had finished reading, and put the book on her nightstand. At least she had figured out how to make Katy stop talking.

Tomorrow Ms. Jasmine was going to take their Spiritual Formation class outside into the fresh air. They were going to practice another prayer exercise called centering and take the first prayer walk through the brand-new campus labyrinth. Tessa felt as if she was about to step into a new realm, but she wasn’t quite sure what it was. Maybe Flat Plains Bible College was not such a stuffy place to be after all. She would text Gramps in the morning. He’d be happy to know she was actually beginning to like this place. (from chapter 6, Castles in the Sand)

Chapter 19: “Bad Counsel”

What People Are Saying About Castles in the Sand:

A great read. The author has real talent. Characters like Gramps are amazingly well-sketched. Good story lay-out too, with flashes of humor. The story makes what is happening in schools & churches clear in a way mere reporting can’t. E.L., Pennsylvania, U.S.

An excellent story with an urgent message. Teenaged/college-aged girls will want to read this book because the main character is their age and they will be intrigued by “a mysterious young man who reaches out to help Tessa. Additionally, parents and grandparents of young adults will want to read the book because of the subtle implication of the spiritual danger involved in things such as lectio divina, contemplative prayer etc. And if their sons and daughters are in Christian colleges, these words are now likely a part of their children’s regular vocabulary, and naive, uninformed parents will immediately have their interest piqued when they read those words. D.H., Alberta, Canada

I’m on my second reading of Castles in the Sand. It is even better the second time!! The bonus book you sent me has been read by several people. Hannah [14 year old daughter] was the first to read the book in our house, and it equipped her to address her youth group about the terror of Avila. The leader was recommending they read Teresa of Avila’s work. Hannah spoke right up about how bad it is. You could hear a pin drop, the way the kids were so attentive. K.R., Kansas, U.S.

The New Age—Hiding Behind More “Positive” Terms
By Warren B. Smith

In 1978, long before New Age leaders like Eric Butterworth, Oprah Winfrey, and Marianne Williamson attempted to distance themselves from the term New Age, New Age leader David Spangler explicitly laid out the Antichrist’s plan for becoming the universal New Age Christ. Spangler wrote:

[A]ny old Christ will not do, not if we need to show that we have something better than the mainstream Christian traditions. It must be a cosmic Christ, a universal Christ, a New Age Christ.1

Understandably, as New Age leaders and their teachings become more exposed as New Age, they begin to hide themselves and their teachings behind more positive and acceptable terms like New Gospel, New Spirituality, New Worldview, New Christianity, and New Thought. The New Age wants to be known as anything but New Age as it continues to reinvent and reimagine biblical Christianity as it paves the way for Antichrist.

To downplay the term New Age is to give false teachers, like Oprah Winfrey and Marianne Williamson, exactly what they want—not to be associated with the very New Age teachings they are bringing into the world and into the church. The New Age is in fact, an all-inclusive term for what was previously described as the occult. It is active, and it is thriving both in the world and in the church today.

The world is being spiritually manipulated to prepare the way for the Antichrist, to make him credible and to put him in power. It will be explained, and mostly believed, that Christians got it all wrong. That Jesus is not really the Christ. He is just “a” Christ. Someone like the “Master Jesus” will head up the Christian component of the New Age/New World Religion. He will explain how things “really are” and “set all things right.” The Antichrist of the New Age will be heralded and recognized as the real Christ. However, as night comes on and the world gets darker, “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13).

Believers must stand in the truth that the Bible’s Jesus is exactly who he says He is—Jesus Christ. We must keep the faith. We must hold fast to the name and person of Jesus Christ as we press on to the higher calling of our Lord.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)

He Took My Hand by Corrie ten Boom
photo: Corrie ten Boom and her father, Casper ten Boom, around the time of the Nazi occupation in Holland

LTRP Note: Lighthouse Trails is the publisher for 5 of Corrie ten Boom’s previously out-of-print books (the 5th to be released in 2026). The following story is from her book In My Father’s House.

By Corrie ten Boom

War. It was early in the morning when we heard the bombs. We knew the sound of the explosions were coming from Schiphol, the airport near Haarlem. I ran to Betsie’s room and found her sitting up in bed, pale and shaking. We put our arms around each other and trembled with each blast; the wavering red glow was so eerie in the darkness of our once-peaceful skies.

We were afraid, but had learned from childhood how to cast our burdens on the Lord. We prayed like frightened children, running to their father for help and protection.

“Lord, make us strong . . . give us strength to help others.”

“Lord, take away our fear. Give us trust.”

It was a crisis of fear in both of us, but Jesus gave us the victory over it. We were never so frightened as we were during that night, not even when war and occupation destroyed our whole family life and everything we had known for more than a half a century. Was that night the Lord’s way of inoculating us in preparation for the future?

In the five days of war that followed, many people came to the house; Father was a pillar of strength for all of them; he prayed with everyone who asked. Sometimes the shock of what was happening would engulf me, and while Father was bringing trust and peace to those in turmoil, I would go to the piano and play Bach. No other music gave me so much rest.

The darkest time during those five days was when our royal family left, our Queen Wilhelmina for England and Crown Princess Juliana for Canada. We knew then that our case was hopeless.

There were not many times that I cried, but when I heard about the royal family leaving the country, I was heartbroken and wept. For the Dutch people, the Queen was our security—we loved her.

Then Holland surrendered. I walked in the street with Father, and everyone was talking to everyone else; in that moment there was a oneness, which I had never seen before. We were together in the great suffering, humiliation, and defeat of our nation. Although my heart was aching with misery, there was encouragement that people could be so united.

The German army marched through the Barteljorisstraat: tanks, cannons, cavalry, and hundreds and hundreds of soldiers. The narrow little street where Dot and I had played games—the alley where I had seen the drunks when I was only five and prayed for “all the people in the Smedestraat”—the path we had taken on Sunday to St. Bavo’s—all were filled with soldiers.

As the conquerors swept in, I noticed some of them were red-faced, shame written in their expressions. After the war, a German told me, “With every step I took in Holland, I felt ashamed. I knew I was occupying a neutral nation.”

Churches were packed in those days; the Psalms, which were written in times of great suffering, gained a new value. Ministers who had never preached about the Second Coming of Christ now chose their texts from the many places in the Bible on that subject.

In the beginning, we saw little change in our daily life, but gradually the enemy began to impose restrictions. At first the curfew was ten o’clock, which was not difficult for us, but later it was moved back to eight, then six. No one could leave his house; there was absolute blackout, and every window was covered with black paper as soon as the sun was down.

Telephones were cut off, food was rationed, and often after standing in long lines with our ration cards, we would find that the stores were empty.

One beautiful Sunday afternoon, Betsie, Father, and I were walking through our park, south of Haarlem, when the Gestapo descended and took all of the young fathers around us, who were out walking with their families, leaving distraught wives and crying children behind.

All Dutch people have bicycles, and sometimes the Gestapo set up a bicycle blockade. Everyone who rode by was summoned to give up his vehicle. If you were fortunate enough to keep your bicycle, you learned to ride without tires, because they were confiscated and taken to Germany.

We were not even safe in church. Once during a service in the cathedral, the Germans guarded the doors so that nobody could move. Then they opened one door and ordered every man from eighteen to forty to come out. They were sent that same day to Germany—many of these men were never seen again.

For more than thirty years since World War II, I have been a tramp for the Lord in more than sixty countries on all the continents of this troubled world. Many people have asked me about my childhood, youth, and the years before The Hiding Place. A person doesn’t spring into existence at the age of fifty; there are years of preparation, years of experience, which God uses in ways we may never know until we meet Him face to face. (from In My Father’s House by Corrie ten Boom)

The Museum of What?
photo: Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC (Wikipedia)

LTRP Note: The following is from The Berean Call’s August article about The Museum of the Bible located in Washington, DC.

By Rob Yardley
President of The Berean Call

…my heart standeth in awe of thy word. I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.—Psalm 119:161-162

The Museum of the Bible (hereafter MotB) in Washington, DC is located just three blocks from the US Capitol. It is an impressive six-story structure with 430,000 square feet of space, and one would hope that it would reflect the awe we feel as we consider God’s Word. The MotB has dozens of potential areas of focus, including the miraculous fulfilled prophecies in the Bible; the historical and scientific accuracy of the Bible in all of its details; why an all-powerful, perfect God has allowed widespread wickedness on earth and cruelty in nature (and God’s ultimate solution); the Lord’s unique relationship with the nation of Israel and the church; the Lord Jesus Christ, Israel’s Messiah, who came to be “…the Christ, the Saviour of the world” (John:4:42); and the Bible’s precise anticipation of the days in which we’re living, to name a few. Unfortunately, the MotB goes to great lengths to avoid these and other critical subjects.

On May 1, 2016, a year and a half prior to the opening of the Museum of the Bible, the Times of Israel wrote an article expressing concern that the MotB might be…biblical. The article quoted historian Noah Charney as saying, “The proximity of the museum to the world-class Smithsonian and the Capitol has raised eyebrows…. How will it fit in among the venerable institutions lining the Mall?”1 He need not have been concerned about those issues. The MotB seems to be modeled after the Smithsonian Institution, favoring secular/skeptical scholarship over biblical scholarship in every area addressed. Click here to continue reading.

Philip Zodhiates Imprisoned for Protecting a Child – Day 40
LTRP Note: The following is an excerpt of Philip Zodhiates book, Innocent: The Price One Man Paid for Doing What Is Right, which he wrote while in prison. Philip was imprisoned for over two years in a U.S. federal corrections facility for helping a young mother protect her daughter from sexual abuse.1

Day 40—January 13 by Philip Zodhiates
This morning I had to work, and my job was to sweep and mop behind the serving lines after the meal was done being served. Not a big deal, but it meant waiting around about two hours in the dining room for everyone to finish.

I read some, and then was sitting by myself at a table going through my prayer list—which I had not completed prior to going to work when a man came up and quickly asked me if I was related to Spiros Zodhiates, who did the Hebrew-Greek Study Bible. I said, yes, that was my dad. He asked, “Well, what in the world are you doing here—what did you do?”

I told him, “Well, actually I’m here because I’m a Christian.”

Before I got another word out of my mouth, he started ranting and raving saying, “No Christian is locked up just because they are a Christian—that is just nonsense—and you had to have done something wrong, broken a law.” I could only get a few words out at a time; he was so angry.

I said, “Actually, I broke no law.” He continued to go off on the fact that I was in prison—therefore I was guilty of a crime.

Eventually, I was able to squeeze in bits and pieces, like, “There was a woman who had a child being sexually abused, and I was convicted of driving her from Virginia to Buffalo, New York to escape the abuse.” He said there had to be more than that, that I was not telling the truth. I told him many in the Bible were imprisoned under false charges, Joseph, Daniel, Peter, Paul. He retorted that they didn’t have a jury trial, and I did and was found guilty; therefore, I am. Furthermore, he claimed, it was wrong for me to equate myself with Paul. I was in denial, I was in sin, and I was blaming others for what I did. I needed to repent. I was able to quote Proverbs 3:27-28 to him, and he said that refers only to food and clothing, and what I did was wrong, otherwise I would not be in prison.

I said, “You mean to tell me, if a woman asked you to keep her child from being abused, you wouldn’t do what you could to help her?”

He replied, “I’d tell her ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know you and I can’t help you.’” I did manage to say that things have changed since he’s been in prison, that I’m not the first Christian to be put in jail for faith, and I’m not the last—that’s how bad it’s become. But he just ranted on, not believing the government could prosecute anyone for their beliefs, or for political reasons.

Even though this is the first time in more than four years a self-professed Christian has condemned me, I do wonder if his attitude may actually be the belief of many within the church today. It could be the reason so many well-known Christians—even those with access to President Trump, have refused to help me seek vindication.

By and large, and there are exceptions, only those who personally know me have taken up for my defense and protested to the government in one form or another. His attitude is one reason why people remain silent, refusing to believe Christians could be imprisoned for doing the right thing. Initially, this man said, “You can’t tell me you’re locked up because you did some benevolent thing!”

I said, “Yes, as a matter of fact, that’s exactly what happened.” I told Kathie, later, “I guess this is what Jesus meant when he said they will ‘say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.’” Indeed, and I did tell this man, that I do count it all joy. He told me God was punishing me for something I did wrong—that I was merely in denial.

Even Ayn Rand, one of the elitists who worshiped the “Utopian state,” said in her novel, Atlas Shrugged, “Did you really think we want those laws to be observed? . . . We want them broken. . . . There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted—and you create a nation of lawbreakers—and then you cash in on guilt.”1
But the fact is, I broke no law. Neither did Ken Miller. Neither did Lisa Miller. She was the only parent listed on Isabella’s birth certificate. She had full custody and passports for both her and her child and was given no travel restriction by any court. The Marriage Amendment to the Virginia Constitution and the Federal Defense of Marriage Act both protected Isabella against Janet Jenkins (Lisa Miller’s lesbian ex-partner). There were still ongoing battles in the courts both in Vermont and Virginia. No transfer of custody had taken place. Yet the Vermont family court refused to admit evidence of sexual abuse, meaning the court itself was mandating the sexual molestation of a young girl. That’s how bad things have gotten in America!

New Book by Gregory Reid – The Real “Satanic Panic” Story: Documenting the Reality of Occult Crime and Ritual Abuse

“You have been lied to. You were told that the occult/satanic activities of the 1980s and early 1990s were a hoax, false memories, satanic panic, village folklore, and nothing more. You were told none of it was real.”—Gregory Reid

Author Gregory R. Reid has just released his new book, The Real “Satanic Panic” Story: Documenting the Reality of Occult Crime and Ritual Abuse (published by YouthFire Publications), and Lighthouse Trails is pleased to carry and help distribute this unforgettable eye-witness account of the truth about occult crimes and satanic ritual abuse.

From the back cover of The Real “Satanic Panic” Story:

“Satanic Panic”: A term derived in the late 1980s and early 1990s to convince people that satanic ritual abuse and occult crimes are nothing more than a rare occurrence.

It has been said that if someone tells a lie big enough and long enough, people will eventually come to believe it.

The dark forces that are behind occult crime and ritual abuse want everyone to believe that what they are doing is not really happening—is not real. But it is real, and it is happening.

This book is for people who want to know the facts—not the hype. It is for people who don’t want fake news but want the real story.

Author Greg Reid has carefully documented what he witnessed regarding occult crimes and ritual abuse. He knows what he is talking about from his roles as an investigative reporter, a law-enforcement trainer, and a survivor of ritual abuse himself.

With a sense of urgency and responsibility to bring to light the reality behind the “Satanic Panic” urban legend, and for the sake of the victims of satanic ritual abuse, this book is for all who seek truth.

Copies of the book will be available through Lighthouse Trails on October 1st, but you may pre-order it from Lighthouse Trails here, or you may buy it now from Amazon.

Donating to Lighthouse Trails

SUPPORTING LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS: For those who would like to support Lighthouse Trails, we always appreciate both your prayers and your giving. And for those who have faithfully done that over the years, we thank you with all of our hearts. We know that some people may have the impression that Lighthouse Trails does quite well financially because we sell products that we publish and because our resources have had such a far reach; but, the truth is, it takes everything made through sales to keep Lighthouse Trails operating. Publishing, at least for small presses such as ours, is rarely a high-profit business. It would take a best seller to see that, one that the masses of people love. And because we are not just a business, but even more so a ministry, we keep our prices as low as we can, give away many resources, and have also made much of our material available for free on the research site and blog. That's not how big corporations run things as that would hurt the bottom line (profit), but we see the needs out there, and we trust God to keep us going as long as He sees fit.

We thank you in advance for seeing the value in a ministry like Lighthouse Trails and coming along side us with your prayers and support.

It is our prayer that we will faithfully be humble servants of the Lord’s work for years to come should the Lord tarry. If you would like to donate to Lighthouse Trails, you may send a donation by mailing it to: Lighthouse Trails, P.O. Box 307, Roseburg, Oregon 97470. Or you may call 866/876-3910. There is also a donate option on our store website.

Lighthouse Trails is not a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, so your donations will not be tax deductible.

INFORMATION ABOUT LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS

In 2010, Lighthouse Trails began a small organic tea division as a way to help support the ministry of Lighthouse Trails. Thus the creation of Shepherd's Bible Verse Tea with five different organic blends (each our very own creation). Each tea bag (produced in an organic facility) has a string with a tag, and on each tag is a KJV Bible verse (95 verses used). Since the tea division began, we have had many people tell us how much they love our tea. We hope you will consider getting a box or a bag and trying it out. It makes a wonderful gift too and helps to remind people about God's wonderful Word.

A note to our Canadian readers: As many of you know, in 2019, we were informed by the Canadian government that some of our booklets cannot be sent across the border into Canada because they would be considered "hate propaganda" according to Canadian law changes on homosexuality, same-sex marriage, and transgenderism. However, we also learned that it is currently not illegal for Canadians to have possession of these booklets (we just can't send them across the border). Therefore, Canadian readers may call 866-295-4143, the number of our Canadian distributor, to obtain copies of all of our booklets.
