Who Really Killed Jesus? (A word to those who hate the Jews) by Tony Pearce (Light for the Last Days)
Sadly for millions of Jewish people the idea that Jesus could be the one to bring peace and reconciliation seems ridiculous and offensive. Nikki used to visit a Jewish lady who was born around the beginning of the 20th century and brought up in a small town in Poland. Her first memory of the name of Jesus was when her parents told her to hide in a cupboard in their home because it was ‘Good Friday’ and on that day the Roman Catholics would come out of their church services into the Jewish quarter to throw stones at the Jews ‘to avenge the death of Jesus.’ Not surprisingly it was hard for her to see Jesus as anyone who had an answer to anything. As far as she was concerned Jesus was ‘someone who hated us and is responsible for our misery.’
A Tale Of Two Kingdoms by Sandy Simpson (Deception in the Church)
Be careful of those who teach about a “kingdom” that is not the same as what the Bible teaches. There are two kingdoms being taught in many churches today. Teaching about one of the kingdoms is on the decline while the other is being promoted all over the place. I am warning Christians that they need to check out who is using the word “kingdom,” the books they have been reading and recommend on building “the kingdom,” the people they have been hanging out with at conferences, and what they mean by “the kingdom.”
Walnuts, Milk and Global Tyranny by Berit Kjos (Kjos Ministries)
Walnuts, milk and vitamins are good for us! But that doesn’t stop the world’s ruling bureaucracy from reaching its tentacles into our farms, families and food stores. Their global regulations will entangle all of us, whether or not we like milk and walnuts.
Is This America? by Mary Ann Collins
We live in a world where multiculturalism, secular humanism, and occultism are rising like a monstrous tsunami in opposition to God’s ways and moral guidelines. Compromise has become the norm, and God’s unchanging Truth is dismissed as an obstacle to solidarity. Rarely has it been more difficult for Christian parents to pass their faith and values on to their children.
Chrislam – Another New Kind of Interspiritual “Christianity” by Mike Oppenheimer (Let Us Reason Ministries)
While Terry Jones wanted to burn the Qur’an there are pastors that want to read the Qur’an in church to their congregations. In response to a local Qur’an burning, Larry Reimer, a minister of the United Church of Gainesville, decided to read Scripture from the Qur’an as part of worship services on September 12, 2010, prodded further about religious relatives. “Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all part of the Abrahamic tree of faith. We all believe in the same God, and in many aspects we are all trying to accomplish the same goals.”
Open Letter To Evangelical and Protestant Pastors Worldwide – Now is the Day to Turn Back to God’s Word by Roger Oakland (Understand the Times)
The following letter is to all Bible-believing pastors throughout the world who have been or are being influenced by current trends that are attacking the Word of God through the postmodern humanistic mystical belief system. I have witnessed this deception firsthand on a worldwide basis but am most familiar with what has been happening in the two fellowships I have been part of for the past thirty years – one in Canada and one based in southern California.
A Plea to Youth Pastors from a Youth Pastor – Do Not Turn to the “Emerging” Way – Do Not Forsake God’s Word by Matthew Slippy (youth pastor)
In November 2008, the Josephson Institute Center for Youth Ethics published the results of their 2008 national survey of American teenagers with nearly 30,000 U.S. high school students surveyed.[1] Thirty percent admitted to stealing from a store in the past year. Twenty-three percent admitted to stealing from a parent. Twenty percent admitted to stealing from a friend. Forty-two percent admitted they had lied to save money. Eighty-three percent admitted they had lied to a parent about something significant. Twenty-six percent admitted that they had lied on at least one question on the survey.
Japan: A Tragedy of Biblical Proportions by Steve Blackwell (indywatchman)
All over the world the main topic of discussion is the Japan tragedy, and now we learn that the worst is yet to come. Both Christian and non-Christian people are confused. People can’t understand how a “good” God could allow thousands upon thousands of innocent people to be killed. It is not necessary to present another theological or philosophical debate to explain what, and why, these things happen, or to try and justify God; John Piper has done that; and Brian McLaren’s philanthropic love has cornered the market on empathy. With those bases covered the question of “why?” still remains, and will not go away. After the prayers are over, and the aid exhausted, the mothers, fathers, and children, who have lost so much, return to their homes, and keep asking, “Why?”
A World Political Authority for the Global Financial Crisis by Carl Teichrib (Forcing Change Ministries)
The Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace released a document, October 24, 2011, titled Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary System in the Context of a Global Public Authority. . . This latest offering from the Vatican claims that, “every individual and every community shares in and is responsible for promoting the common good.” This nebulous phrase leads to a further reflection; the document asks “whether the human family has adequate means at its disposal to achieve the global common good.”
