I'm bewildered by your misrepresentation of Calvinism. The Scriptures teach that all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved, but it also teaches that God will take away our heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. God first takes away our heart of stone,(Regeneration) and then we will call on Him. Election is not only taught in Rom9. It is taught throughout Scripture. Consider Jn6 where Jesus told the unbelievers that no one can come to Him unless the Father had granted it. Also, in Jn10 Jesus told the unbelievers that they did not believe because they we're not of His sheep. There is much more I could say, but I assure you that the Scriptures teach Regeneration before conversion. I hope you will think on this seriously and repent of your gross misrepresentation of those of us who teach the doctrines of grace.

Excellent! May I add that in Jeremiah 18:7-10 speaking of that nation who would repent. My thoughts go to Jonah! God wanted him to go to Nineveh and Nineveh repented. That takes 'free will'. Many of us were raised is some form of religion before we came to Christ. Why is it so hard for Calvinist's to understand the simplicity that is in Christ? Does not Romans 9 further describe what nation Jesus would come from; Romans 9:12-13. Calvinism lacks prophesy, and many are into replacement theology and one Calvinist pastor told me that God created Satan evil and had no idea that they had free will. This is a wonderful explanation of TULIP by Rob Congdon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHFWcdt9J3c

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Even in Genesis 4:5-7 Cain who is the first murderer and liar,GOD tells him why art thou wroth or angry? And why is thy countenance fallen? GOD goes on to say to him If thou doest well, shall thou not be excepted? If thou doest not well sin lieth at the door. GOD told him truth and warned him to turn from sin, free choice, and he turned away from GOD's warning and fell in to sin.

This is an excellent article. Thank you so much. The wave of calvinism/reformed theology that's sweeping into the church is staggering. Those of us that see the Truth need materials like this to help wash the mud from our brothers' and sisters' eyes. God bless your family and staff.

The simple key is foreknowledge. "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." (Rom 8:29 KJV) "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied." (1Pe 1:2 KJV) I dnot know how it gets any clearer than that. Election, predestination and santification are all based on God's foreknowledge of our CHOICES. A simple search of the "whosoever's" of scripture confirm it. "And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (Jhn 11:26 KJV) "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (Jhn 12:46 KJV) And anyone can make that CHOICE. "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world." (1Jo 2:2 KJV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (Jhn 3:16 KJV)

Yes, great article! Calvinism is like a house of cards, the slightest breeze from the Holy Spirit moving across the Bible will blow it all away and collapse it! : D

Hi, We've been sharing them since the release of Calvinism: None Dare Call It Heresy. You can type in the word Calvinism into our blog search engine and some of those should come up.

Will you be sharing some of those testimonies of people who have abandoned Calvinism? I would love to read them.

The Great Theme of Romans is the Gospel of God. Fully unfolded and expounded for instruction of Believers. Chapters 1-8. In Chapters 9-11 Paul writes of Gods dealings with men. Sending forth the Gospel to the Gentiles. Chapters 12-16 gives us instruction as to our conduct that befits the Gospel on the part of those who received it. A Potter looks at Romans 9 should be studied by all of us that are saved. Thank you David and Lighthouse for this Word of Truth to the Glory of God.

This is an outstanding article. Jetemiah and Ezekiel destroy Calvinism over and over again by God showing his mercy to his “elect” Jews." I would never have been able to articulate the potter illustration the way you did. It will help me tremendously when I speak with Calvinists. I met a high school youth group from a popular Calvinist church nearby, and after a brief discussion a few of them said they wanted to get together to discuss Limited Atonement and the Bible version issue. I was dreading it because of Rom. 9. Not anymore.
