Suggestion: Lighthouse Trails Should Promote Labyrinth

LTRC Note: We received the following “Letter to the Editor” this morning from E.T. in Louisiana:

“I strongly disagree with your view on the use of a labyrinth by Christians who are praying in the name of Jesus as they walk. We have found that the walk really helps to promote stillness before the Lord. Additionally, Serving communion and reading of scripture, along with sacred background music are all part of the labyrinth walk as practiced by conservative evangelical and evangelistic Christians. While for some walking a labyrinth is not necessary to pray and worship, others find the walk to be a awesome experience in experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit.

“I think it would be better for you to teach how to use the labyrinth in Christ centered and Christ focused worship rather than condemning its use and usefulness. After all Paul went into the pagan temple and pointed to a idol of the unknown god and used it to preach Christ. We can do the same.”
