To Lighthouse Trails:
I first read Ray Yungen’s book A Time of Departing about 8 years ago and was deeply impacted by it, but I remember thinking at the time that although it was really important to be informed about this heresy, it would never surface in our fellowship. Well three months ago it got its foot in the door through sermons based on and the promotion of Peter Scazzero’s book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. I took my concerns to the leadership but was told by a very angry pastor that I was spiritually immature and not hearing from God. The elders, although very calm and courteous were also very confused. I am now with a small Bible believing fellowship that preaches through the Word verse by verse.
