I’m a Christian missionary pastor in ________, Mexico. I first would like to thank you for your discernment ministry. Second, I would like to suggest in your next newsletter you have some sort of survey with statistics of how many US pastors seminaries, as well as worldwide, if you can, are influenced or following the false teachings of Rick Warren, [Mark] Driscoll, [Thomas] Merton, [Henri] Nouwen, etc.
The problem is that many people think only a small percentage of Christians / Pastors are being affected. It’s great to expose the damage, but if people think it’s a small fringe, they will think the same of your ministry and other discerning Pastors / Churches. Also, sadly, there needs to be an article which also states the requirement of a Pastor to be a watchmen, not to just “tend his own flock.” We are responsible to the whole Body of Christ to teach, warn, and care for.
Regarding surveys . . . It would be tedious work, but perhaps another method could be to check what churches, seminaries, schools, etc., have in their curriculums, bookstores, recommended book lists, etc. For example, Rick Warren’s web site has Nouwen listed number one for his wife’s recommended books! Nouwen is also recommended for discipleship, etc.:

Obviously actual quotes, bible studies, etc., are the best, but are more difficult to find.
One other suggestion if I could. Sadly, people are lazy and do not study much anymore. Therefore, books, materials, web sites (many I’ve seen), etc., must be simple, well organized, and easy to understand, etc. Some books I’ve read are too intellectual for the average person and the writing is not well organized enough to follow the line of thinking and conclusions the author intends. Also, references, subjects must be easy to find. Unfortunately, if something is not “one-click away,” many will just move on. Obviously, we trust in the Spirit, but we need to use wisdom.
I’ve already read Roger Oakland’s book, and it was excellent. Just as an FYI, Rick Warren is big in _________, where I am a missionary.
God bless,
