look up the Sons of Korah on youtube , then go to their website. https://sonsofkorah.com Sons of Korah is an Australian based band devoted to giving a fresh voice to the biblical psalms. The Psalms have been the primary source for the worship traditions of both Judaism and Christianity going right back to ancient times

that was so informative. I liked the imagery of this Psalm and Ironside’s description. I wrote about this Psalm in my blog recently.

Knowing the history of Korah and their rebellion, this verse really makes sense. “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness” Psalm 84:. 10

This is one of those topics that strikes a deep chord in my heart. Because we live in a blessed land, most don’t know what so many Christians give up in other parts of the world for Christ. But indeed, wherever we are and whatever it is, He must be above all and we must be ready and willing to give it all up for Him, be it family, house, job, security, safety, esteem, friends, even body and life. That is discipleship and how it is when we have truly given Him our heart and soul. Like that man who was not willing even though He knew Jesus is the Messiah, because of all he would lose. But he never thought of all he would gain. It is heartbreaking. I have friends and family too and have shared the gospel with them and for one reason or another, they just won’t come to Jesus the way He requires. And then all those ‘blessed’ professing Christians, professing until they must give up something on that list for Christ (such as a business for not baking a gay wedding cake) and most deny Him on the spot. They don’t know what sacrifice for the Lord is, it’s all about what they can get, theirs is a superficial love and it’s gimme; gimme; gimme! Most can’t stand up to the test of Job and it’s truly sad.
