A Poem By a “Very Old Man” Who Stands Alone for Truth

There is a very old man
Whom the Lord took by his hand
And taught him things
About the churches in the land.
Except for his wife,
He stands all alone.
No one comes by
Or calls on the phone.
He and his wife
Are at the end of their life.
It won’t be long until they say
Tootle loo—the song is all gone.
They will be home,
With the Lord in Heaven above,
Surrounded by Christ,
And held in His love.
Amen.
